I hope you’re right about the last part.

There is also two versions. One in english and the other a dub in the native language?..
so there is alot of fan respect here.
I heard a hard R was the goal but they also said a PG could be in the works if it worked out. My guess is the investors are already lined up.

They better not with the PG, unless it’s old PG which should have been PG-13 to heavy R.

Also yeah then saying they’d add Comanche Dub was a huge plus in my opinion for those who wanna feel like their in the time of that period.

I liked the idea too. Makes it very authentic and a period piece without compromising story.

Chuck avp , avp requiem and the predator were awful

AvP movies were saved purely by being made during a period where schlocky Versus movies were a fad.
And then AvPR killed that anyways.

To be honest I think the best prequel storyline they could have done was when jh 87 wiped out Jim hopper and his crew and have that version ending when Dutch’s chopper is dropping in

Don’t forget Long Tall Sally as credits music.

Yes fully agreed . All we ever see is preds dieing and loosing , give a story where it actually was successful

I can get behind that and definitely agree on a Predator winning in a movie

Avp movies came out before Predators, and AVP is avp not Predator but I understand

The problem I have with the “Predator/villan should win” idea is that if you wanted a film like that, go watch Alien Covenant and see how dogshit it is. It was never about the Predator, yet they are the draw these days rather than the human stories more or less today. Human stories are important, but the moment you remove it to make it about the Predator, you now have to “humanize” the Predator by giving it a character which is extremely harder said than done if you want em to kill humans all day since there probably won’t be a human/like foil to em otherwise than a bitter rival or target.

It’s almost like the disconnect that Godzilla “Fans” these days have, focusing on the “monster action” than the human to monster parallels that made them so great in the first place.

Yea, Infinity War pulls this off well but it also made Thanos a likeable character since he was given traits that landed well. It’d be harder to do that with a crabface that can only speak in phrases.

I want it to succeed, but it’ll depend on how they build naru up. If they don’t make her super human jus because she’s a girl then it could be good maybe be on par with Ripley. If they make her a “strong, independant woman, lgbtq, person of color, who don’t need no man to fight off a an alien and still have time to fight climate change” then we can just have a burial for the predator franchise.

The predator design matters to me, but if the movies badass and the predator design is bad or just ok then i can overlook it, but the movies gotta be good. If the movie is trash then whether the predator looks badass or not it still won’t carry the entire movie if it sucks.

Hoping for a KO tho

I really hope this new movie is good so we can get more sequels, and doesn’t turn out like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series with the last film being one of the worst.

Ahem… I WANT this film to be amazing and be a huge success.
I BELIEVE that it’s going to tank…hard.
