No but she had more common sense than the rest of the crew and survived then in aliens she had the mother arc and experience with the xenos which together made her put herself at risk to kill the threat and save newt.
I jus meant if they do it right it could be good. I would think somethin like while women are doing thier roles and the men are hunting, protecting, etc. she would rather go with her brother, but the women and men say she cant.
Even though the tribe is against it she sneaks off following the men watching thier hunts, fights, etc. from the sidelines until she wants to prove to herself she’s ready and takes on the bear and realizes that was a mistake, but sees or doesn’t see what killed the bear. So because she knows she has some disadvantages she sticks to the shadows watching from a distance as the predator hunts the native men and the fur traders/europeans.
Even though she is terrified she has seen how the predator hunts compared to the men who don’t have a chance to observe since thier being hunted. So the suspense or horror aspect would come from her being terrified of the predator hiding and watching until she is forced to rise to the occasion and face her fear so she then makes traps and picks areas where she can have a environmental advantage (i say this because in the trailer where she screams I noticed shes standing in front of a fallen tree or somethin with sharp branches so potentially inviting him in so she can dodge and he hits the sharp branches.)
Anyway that would be good because it would show her want to be a warrior then realizing its not that easy so instead has to avoid conflict and hide til ___ happens and she has to become the warrior she wanted to be. That is a way to tell it without making it a oh well she’s a woman so she’s indestructable and wears plot armor.
