Possible Changes

I have been playing a fair bit of Fireteam and Predator of late since the latest patch and wanted to highlight, somewhat summarily, some possible ideas for changes and fixes to be made to the gameplay to make it more interesting. So without further adue let’s get into it:

Matchmaking

-Extend the period of the Infil vote or add a 30 second period before this to allow everyone to load in fully, examine each other’s loadouts and have adequate time to switch their loadouts to optimize the balance of their Fireteam.

-General fixes to que times as is possible

Missions

-Joint prompts for Fireteam members, scaling down from 3-2-1 depending upon surviving Fireteam members.

-Increased puzzle complexity.

-Increased defense timer lengths. Notification for Predator during these events.

-Longer duration to hold various prompts.

-Fireteam bound mission objective items (keys, IED, etc.) which the claiming Fireteam member must deliver the item, dropping upon death/action/proximity deviation.

Fireteam

-The ability to disarm bear traps as it appears only possible presently with the use of explosives. Possibly ability to avoid traps via crouching through the radius of the trap.

-Give the GL it’s impact firing mode, allowing toggle between firing impact and timed grenades with the addition of a significantly reduced rate of fire for impact grenades to prevent spam fire. Possibly compromise with a small blast radius for impact grenades.

-Make the GL a secondary weapon.

-Remove the spotting highlight of Predator. Replace this with a potential secondary weapon with limited munitions, exempt from ammo resupplies, which fires darts with tracking nodes to temporarily track the Predator with a small beacon. Keen to hear thoughts and ideas on this. Bonus exp reward for successful shots.

-Add a perk to reduce Disarm difficulty of Predator Self Destruct sequence, only in conjunction with the corresponding change to this sequence I will highlight later.

-Ability to collect Predator masks for extra currency reward.

-Fix reloading to be overridden by interaction prompt matching the corresponding key/controller binding to prevent reloading while attempting to revive or complete prompts for objectives.

-Additional recoil for GOSL-R and possibly certain sniper rifles, however light the change may be.

-Remove any close range optics for Sniper Rifles, including iron sights.

-Increased damage drop off at range for 2XL.

-10% movement speed reduction while using a stim pack syringe.

-10-15% movement speed reduction while netted.

-Ability to carry downed Fireteam Members at 50% movement speed, 35% for Support.

-Pause/slow bleed out timer, not entirely sure if this is still a thing, while being revived. A second attempt to revive is exempt from this reduction.

-Possibly add a temperature gauge upon the HuD which is reduced while in water or mud, being in water causing the mud to fade more quickly and forcing the Fireteam member to wait until dry to mud up again. Just spitballing a little.

-Give Fireteam Support class ‘Armored’ effect against AI and Predator which causes reduced damage, lower health slightly in conjunction with this. Interested in thoughts on this.

-Give Fireteam Classes limited unique weapon selections available only to them.

Predator

-Add slot reeling function to icon matching system in Self Destruct Sequence, possibly perk to accelerate pace of image flickering.

-Slightly reduced time allotted for Self Destruct detonation.

-Possible Emp Pulse mine/grenade which disorients and partially blinds Fireteam members, causing very slight damage and potentially disabling their HuD for a very limited period.

-Possibly reduce boar health yield to 50-60%.

-Minor reduction to fully charged Plasma Caster energy cost.

-Buff War Club damage.

-Slightly increased Elder Sword speed and reach.

-Increased timer for Smart Disc deployment, slightly increased velocity. Possibly reduce damage without these changes, certainly with.
-Reduce noise overall, reduced frequency of vocal sounds.

-Slightly increased transparency/reduced distortion of cloaking camouflage.

-Stealth kills, on AI or vulnerable Fireteam members, the ability to be cancelled given this can be triggered accidently.

-Possible jamming device resembling a large pole to interfere with in game voice chat and communication of Fireteam dispatcher to deliver instructions on next or current objective.

-Increased movement speed for Scout, reduced movement speed for Berserker.

-Gauges in customization to show energy reserve total for each class.

These are just some thoughts I wanted to throw out there and see what people think.

First off, LOVE the game! The patches you’ve put in place are excellent. However, I am concerned about the endgame and longevity of this game.

I think we should have a way to track our kills, eliminations, etc and I think ranked matches would help too. Also, I’m sure you’ve already heard this, but Dead by Daylight has some really cool ways to keep players grinding and hunting for stuff. I think there should be a way to incorporate things like that.

I’m a HUGE Predator fan and I know many other fans that want this to be a game we can play for years. Some changes like the ones I mentioned could really keep the game afloat for a long time. Just want something to keep coming back for to grind for. Thanks guys! I’m cheering you on. I’m a streamer and I’ve been plugging you guys as much as I can. Keep it up!

Maybe. I think there is a lot of options to work with on that so I am not sure what exactly I would go with but definitely some kind of alternative to the current mechanic.

pause slow bleed out timer? wtf is that. so basically you cant die? good grief. no. lol. increased transparency of the cloak. you can see him from miles away a distance. running jumping or coming at you … fireteam is easy enough as it is without needing a timer to be paused honestly. support class armoured effect? im sorry but thats just absurd. reduced damage good grief. so you want him to be seen more or seen less when you say being transparent?? maybe im misinterpreting or understanding it

no. their is nothing that should disable his cloaking. so what he can be more vulnerable than he already is? i swear. i can tell from comments like this who has played the pred and who hasnt or just doesnt rather …

darts and tracking nodes? thats absurd it just is. so what he can become the prey again like he was in 1.05 for spotted being removed. back to square one again where he would be flat out murdered quicker than he already is.

To clarify, I say this as being the only thing that removes it - other than running out of energy, i.e. stop the magic removal through spotting and attacking. I agree with you that he became the prey because of all those unnecessary things, but I think that FT should have one ability to temporarily combat it, with skill, at the cost of a secondary weapon.
For what it’s worth, you’re incorrect about my usage of predator - I play both sides equally. In my opinion I don’t think the predator is fearsome enough.

I think you misunderstood or I misphrased it. What I mean if you are being revived it slows or pauses your bleed out so you don’t die while your buddy is reviving. But if they stop or are stopped then it resumed and the second revive attempt it does not pause or slow. So they can’t just spam toggle it to keep the downed member alive.

It seems like you may be jumping the gun just a little bit on some of what you are thinking is meant here.

The tracking dart thing isn’t even something I am sold on and it would have like four shots or some shit and last a very limited duration and once those shots are gone they are gone period, no resupply on them. And it adds a skill shot later to even get it to work. But I don’t know if I want that, it was just something to spitball about.

nah i understand that part on the revival. slows maybe just abit but not pauses. yeah sounds good not being able to attempt a second time. but honestly i think it should keep going regardless the bar going down or counting down but you know

Well me personally, albeit on an unrelated note, I love when they try to chase me. Fighting a good Predator, or even a decent one, out in the jungle is a fucking TERRIBLE idea. Their main advantages are fighting in open areas or hunkering down together in closed buildings and such that forces the Predator to get in everyone’s faces. Fight them in the jungle with all kinds of hills and trees and shrubs and shit where they can see you most of the time but you might hardly be able to catch glimpses of them? Even wounded? That is just asking to get rammed. But I digress.

This wouldn’t be long enough for them to track the Predator through the jungle reliably so much as get a bearing on his position and potentially help give them a little counter play. But yeah.
