I have been playing a fair bit of Fireteam and Predator of late since the latest patch and wanted to highlight, somewhat summarily, some possible ideas for changes and fixes to be made to the gameplay to make it more interesting. So without further adue let’s get into it:
Matchmaking
-Extend the period of the Infil vote or add a 30 second period before this to allow everyone to load in fully, examine each other’s loadouts and have adequate time to switch their loadouts to optimize the balance of their Fireteam.
-General fixes to que times as is possible
Missions
-Joint prompts for Fireteam members, scaling down from 3-2-1 depending upon surviving Fireteam members.
-Increased puzzle complexity.
-Increased defense timer lengths. Notification for Predator during these events.
-Longer duration to hold various prompts.
-Fireteam bound mission objective items (keys, IED, etc.) which the claiming Fireteam member must deliver the item, dropping upon death/action/proximity deviation.
Fireteam
-The ability to disarm bear traps as it appears only possible presently with the use of explosives. Possibly ability to avoid traps via crouching through the radius of the trap.
-Give the GL it’s impact firing mode, allowing toggle between firing impact and timed grenades with the addition of a significantly reduced rate of fire for impact grenades to prevent spam fire. Possibly compromise with a small blast radius for impact grenades.
-Make the GL a secondary weapon.
-Remove the spotting highlight of Predator. Replace this with a potential secondary weapon with limited munitions, exempt from ammo resupplies, which fires darts with tracking nodes to temporarily track the Predator with a small beacon. Keen to hear thoughts and ideas on this. Bonus exp reward for successful shots.
-Add a perk to reduce Disarm difficulty of Predator Self Destruct sequence, only in conjunction with the corresponding change to this sequence I will highlight later.
-Ability to collect Predator masks for extra currency reward.
-Fix reloading to be overridden by interaction prompt matching the corresponding key/controller binding to prevent reloading while attempting to revive or complete prompts for objectives.
-Additional recoil for GOSL-R and possibly certain sniper rifles, however light the change may be.
-Remove any close range optics for Sniper Rifles, including iron sights.
-Increased damage drop off at range for 2XL.
-10% movement speed reduction while using a stim pack syringe.
-10-15% movement speed reduction while netted.
-Ability to carry downed Fireteam Members at 50% movement speed, 35% for Support.
-Pause/slow bleed out timer, not entirely sure if this is still a thing, while being revived. A second attempt to revive is exempt from this reduction.
-Possibly add a temperature gauge upon the HuD which is reduced while in water or mud, being in water causing the mud to fade more quickly and forcing the Fireteam member to wait until dry to mud up again. Just spitballing a little.
-Give Fireteam Support class ‘Armored’ effect against AI and Predator which causes reduced damage, lower health slightly in conjunction with this. Interested in thoughts on this.
-Give Fireteam Classes limited unique weapon selections available only to them.
Predator
-Add slot reeling function to icon matching system in Self Destruct Sequence, possibly perk to accelerate pace of image flickering.
-Slightly reduced time allotted for Self Destruct detonation.
-Possible Emp Pulse mine/grenade which disorients and partially blinds Fireteam members, causing very slight damage and potentially disabling their HuD for a very limited period.
-Possibly reduce boar health yield to 50-60%.
-Minor reduction to fully charged Plasma Caster energy cost.
-Buff War Club damage.
-Slightly increased Elder Sword speed and reach.
-Increased timer for Smart Disc deployment, slightly increased velocity. Possibly reduce damage without these changes, certainly with.
-Reduce noise overall, reduced frequency of vocal sounds.
-Slightly increased transparency/reduced distortion of cloaking camouflage.
-Stealth kills, on AI or vulnerable Fireteam members, the ability to be cancelled given this can be triggered accidently.
-Possible jamming device resembling a large pole to interfere with in game voice chat and communication of Fireteam dispatcher to deliver instructions on next or current objective.
-Increased movement speed for Scout, reduced movement speed for Berserker.
-Gauges in customization to show energy reserve total for each class.
These are just some thoughts I wanted to throw out there and see what people think.
