A few things that could possibly be added into Predator Hunting grounds.
Obviously these are just ideas that might make the game better, and make it more immersive as well as thrilling…
Sorry in advance. It’s a bit of a novel.
•First Idea: Okay so I don’t know about you guys but I seriously think the idea of being able to be respawned in this game is VERY dumb. And I play as Fireteam mostly. It just makes the idea of dying in a match matter less than it should. Then your team members can just throw on some mud and go get you back. Besides it’s a spit in the face considering the Predators job is to kill everyone. I think a better alternative to the reinforcement mechanic would be this…
So when two out of the 4 members of the fireteam die, the commander speaking to you will basically tell you the mission is getting out of control, too many have been lost. Retreat to the EVAC point. The last two guys will have a chance to escape from the predator, and the Predator will have a chance to apply some real pressure on the last two guys. It’ll turn the tables on the humans and make it a paranoia inducing run for survival to where the evac helicopter is
Now I know what you are thinking. In theory that could mean the match could be pretty much over in 5 minutes or less. Yes it could. But rarely do I ever see a match go that quick. For either side. Especially if you are with competent team members. And to be fair. If two guys get killed that quick, USUALLY the other two will die fairly soon, so my as well give them a chance at survival. And to make it worthwhile for staying and watching if you do die. Each one of the last guys to escape, everyone will get an additional 250 xp. So if both escape that’s an additional 500 xp. Not much but it’s something.
Second Idea: Night maps…this game has got to eventually have night operations. This would be completely terrifying as the Humans. The Predator would really be in his element with this one. You’d really have to listen for sounds, look for his eyes, follow blood trails etc…
But I feel like they would have to have some incentive if the Fireteam survives this type of mission. Considering it would just make it that much harder on them. Haven’t quite figured out what that could be, but there should be something.
Third Idea: New game mode. So this game mode is something more like a long haul. So instead of it being missions you complete. The only objective you have is to make it to the hasty evac site. The little mini story behind the game mode is that once you reached the helicopter(like in the Normal missions) it crash landed in another part of the jungle. No AI enemies will be around. It’s just a extremely dense jungle, with waterfalls, various landmarks, secrets to explore, and loot boxes to find in random spots hidden through the level. It would be a very LONG map. Think of it as a massive rectangle. The four team members have to traverse the jungle, and face the Predator in his element. The fireteam must purely focus on the trees, bushes, and look out for traps. Some parts of the jungle may appear darker due to the lack of sunlight through the trees. The Predator could be anywhere. He could be waiting for you at the pickup site, or right behind you. It’s just you and the Predator.
Fourth and final Idea: Dutch’s appearance.
In a very similar concept to spawning in Tommy Jarvis from Friday the 13th, in this game after you complete a small unmarked objective simultaneously as doing the missions themselves. Once the task has been completed, if all 4 Humans die. The Human with the most amount of XP gained in that game will Respawn as Dutch. He will be the only character that can effectively 1v1 the Predator. His abilities/attributes could be:
[Health: 4/4 units. ]
[Movement: 2/4 units]
[Stamina: 4/4 Units. ]
[Gear: 3/4 Units. ]
Weapons: M16 with Grenade Launcher.
Fire Bow and Arrow.
Bowie Knife.
Passive Abilities:
•Mud lasts 3 times as long.
•x2 speed for putting Mud on.
•Can yell to challenge Predator(Alert Predator to location for a final confrontation. Grants 200xp. One time use)
•Has damage increase as if he were using the perk Yautja’s Bane.
But here’s the catch for getting spawned in as Dutch. If you get spawn in, the match gets extended to an extra 4 minutes than where it’s from already. And you CANNOT escape. You HAVE to fight the Predator to the death.
If you beat the Predator, Dutch will escape the blast in a cutscene like the end of the movie.
If you die fighting the Predator, the cutscene will end with Predator ripping Dutches spine out and claiming his skull, roaring, and falling to his knees in exhaustion.
If for whatever reason either don’t kill one another the cutscene will be Dutch and the Predator both covered in Blood, Dutch will escape jumping off into a waterfall to escape and the Predator will just turn around and walk away.
Well if you made it this far thanks for actually reading it all. As I said above this is all just ideas obviously, but I think they could add some seriously needed element to the game to spice up matches. And also if you have an idea circulated around one I stated, but you have a different approach to it, go ahead and state it. I’m sure we all just want this game to be better, and more fair anyways.
