Two of my oil paintings on wood.
The first one is 64x32 I call that one “Peacocking”
The second one is the same size oil on wood.
That one is called “Alley”

Lol oh forsure, also women have much more elegant lines to draw/paint. So I enjoy the flow of their structures if that makes sense. Men are more hard and jagged so I don’t really have motivation to draw them.
I’m a perfectionist so I paint/draw pretty slow. Both those paintings took like 60/70hrs each time complete.

Love the background in the first one. It almost catches my eye before the woman and burd do, almost.
Are darker skin colors more shadows ok the second one or a specific tan or something else?

In the second one it’s a map, it’s easier to tell what it is in person, I need to get a better resolution photo of it loaded up. It’s not the United States but I did reference part of the shape. Like Florida in on her leg lol.

No, not particularly I leave them open for interpretation and people to find their own meaning. The names of them do however point you into the direction of what they represent. That’s basically the only clue I leave but like I said, they are purposely left open for interpretation.

This thread sucks! thats just my opinion.
Forgive me for not knowing my tanks, but the guy in the pic seems to have asian future and the star on the tank a though could be a multitude of countries, could also be a China. But the uniform says ‘US’. Am i thinking too much into it? Faces are tough to draw, but your tanks look really crisp.

Yeah I did it to challenge myself so basically the US names its tanks after generals so I’ll use the one on the left as an example the guy I’d George S Patton a US General during ww2 and the tank was designated M60 so it’s the M60 Patton like the M1 Abrams and M4 Sherman also I finished it
Kinda fucked up Sherman on the right but I just went with it I suck at drawing stars

Another thing I fucked up was the M60’s height so the sherman(right) is fine because I based everything on the M1 so the Abrams is 8ft tall and the sherman is 9ft tall…the M60 is 10ft fucking tall and it’s the shortest one in the drawing and it keeps bugging me i tried fixing it a couple times but I just gave up at around the third attempt but it still looks good imo

At least you know what you need to work at. You’ll get better with more attempts. Takes practice, but you have a good base
