Not PHG related, but I just made a custom song for Rocksmith. It’s one of my old band’s song. Hope some people find it cool.

Never played Rocksmith but I was a huge fan of Guitar Hero

I know there is a new one in development

We’re you in a Christian Metal band?

Also great solo!

I played guitar hero, was trash at it, so I just watched YouTubers to the hardest songs on extreme mode using their elbows to strum

hahahahaha, noooo

That song goes hand in hand with another song called “Church of the Damned”, which was, more of a satanic PoV. I am an atheist myself, but I do enjoy the “good vs evil” battles in religion, as in any conflict, there’s never truly a good or evil side.

I could never get a grip with GH because I always tried to play the song as intended. Sadly for a lot of songs the buttons don’t actually match the beats on them, and is very hard for someone who is used to follow a musical beat, to tap out of sync.

Does Rocksmith have learning stuff too like scales/modes to practice?

Try Clone Hero. Its for PC and has a very dedicated fanbase and charters. A lot of work goes into charting and syncing songs and they try to make it as accurate as possible within the limitations of the controller. They use a lot of the features from the later games (open notes, better HOPO system, different chord shapes, tapping, etc.) as well.

Yes, extensively. And they usually break them down into minigames so you can learn them easier. Rocksmith is very, very good for learning guitar and bass, from the basics down to scales and theory.

Cool!

I’ll have to pick up the newest edition whenever it releases

what she said.

Though tbh I’m still getting used to reading the thing from the screen. You can also slow down songs without affecting pitch, very useful for fast parts and learning.

Supposedly you need the special (crap) cable to play it, but god all mighty PC hackers made a mod so you can use any interface with ASIO drivers which is far better than using that crap cable. I installed that mod and have been having a blast. There’s also another mod that allows you to add songs that people have made (that’s how I added mine). Which vastly extends the repertoire

I think I played that one years ago, something called Frets on Fire, if I remember correctly
