As far as I know, the PS5 only streams up to 1080p60, unless you have an external capture device to push it further. Video capture for local storage will work up to 4K60fps in .webm, which will look like Maddy’s video, but in 4K.

For some reason, Youtube doesn’t like WebM format, and washes out the colour and contrast. This is 4K in WebM (locked on PS5):

You can buy a video capture card and a mini PC with an N100 processor (budget option) or more, and you can play on PS5 and stream in 4k60
Probably depends on the region or the number of subscribers, but now I can stream to YouTube in 1080p60 and YouTube plays my video with the AV1 codec. Previously, there was an AVC1 codec at 1080p60
I don’t stream but I upload the video’s and if I upload 1080p video, I get that shitty codec.
So anything above that resolution gives you a better codec

For recordings, the best is to capture lossless and then use something like Premiere or Davinci resolve to compress the video using optimal settings in several passes. If you capture compressed directly, games move too fast and it creates a lot of artifacts and pixelation.
But you need a looooot of space to record lossless. Is like 25GB per minute.

I use shadow play with custom settings and then I edit and render it using PowerDirector.
Looks like webm uses a hdr variant. It captures a greater colour depth for monitors capable of hdr. Nothing wrong with it but I assume deeznuts doesn’t know he’s using hdr or that the default capture setting in YouTube from PlayStation is doing that

the other i suppose was the mp4 with stats reading avc1 64002a (299) not sure that it carries a colour gammut but i suppose it doesn’t since it doesn’t show.
Even with HDR off in 4K, Youtube is still whitewashing the clips bc they’re in WebM. If PS5 encoded 4K in mp4 this wouldn’t be an issue with Youtube.
unless you re-encode them yourself. Welp guess you have to live with it for now. unless they give you the option to choose. Or that the PS5 internally has an option to choose what to do.

Prozi you have always been good, very good indeed, but I never found you to be “on another level” like Thunder and Sam or even riktig, neither as Pred or FT. Who gives a shit anyway. I’ve been actually hacking since I was 8. I don’t buy them, share them, or play with them. One of the first things you realize, is that it’s no fun if you cheat at a game. Go legit, or quit. Once you cross that threshold, any progress you make is meaningless.
The only reason I see people who get off on cheating, is if they need to fool others. Real people get off on enlightening others. That’s the dichotomy that really matters.
