Well if you’re close to the Fireteam in a firefight and you can’t jump on the branch, the worst thing to do is to start climbing. No matter how fast you are, by the time you climb up, they are going to melt you.
I’m talking from the experience because I’m the one doing the “melting”. In that situation it’s better to leap away or jump on the branch directly.
Try Pirate Analytic with the drone, when you scan the Fireteam with it, you insta get that Analytic spec buff, like when you scan them with thermal vision. Also, Pirate has good stats, speed, stamina etc and smaller body which is harder to hit compared to bigger Preds.
Amazon on the other hand is probably the most tankiest Pred in the game, that Pred can take alot of beating before it goes second wind. Also small body and good stamina etc. You should definitely try those two Preds. Pirate is one of my favorite Preds to play and one of the best if you play ranged.
I just note those players, and the next time I play with them, it’s 100%. If all our games lasted 3 minutes, it wouldn’t be enjoyable. Especially since it takes 15+ minutes to get a game, I don’t want it to go quick, but I can if I know about it ahead of time. It’s a small community. We’ll see each other in public every so often.
If I want a quick match, I’ll go in silently, stealthily, combi hit the last guy a few times and then throw the spear. Go invisible, grab the spear, and jab him two more times quick. Rinse, repeat.
Yeah I prefer the bionic pred now over scar. Bought him first, but haven’t used him much until now. Decent stats, plus disciplined. Seems a lot harder than most other predators for even PC players to see with lowered/altered graphics. Taking out their sense of hearing, and replacing it occasionally with audio decoys, messes with them horribly.
The ascent perk really isn’t that bad and climbing trees it’s very hard to hit me. It’s freaky fast animation. That plus disciplined, some pro teams don’t even notice me suddenly up in the trees.

You’re like early 90s RDJ when he was all strung out, except for the part where people actually cared about him, to track him down.
It makes things so much quicker. You throw the combi, you run over it, you tap R3 and then you get it right back again.
Bionic was probably the strongest Pred when it came out, then Illfonic nerfed it. Which is their practice, they would drop the DLC, Pred with better stats than the others, people would buy it, then when the new Pred DLC drops, they would nerf the previous one.
I play on high graphics, 'cause for me, when playing on high graphics, I see the shimmering of the cloak better, which isn’t the case with lower graphics.
Also, as I said before, Predator still produces sounds even with the Discipline spec. It doesn’t click, but you still hear footsteps, branches, healing etc. For the OG FT players, audio decoys don’t do anything. All it takes for me is to see your spec at the beginning of the match and everytime I hear clicking, I know it’s a decoy, cause Disciplined doesn’t click at all.
Try traps instead. Try to trap them by throwing the trap from the branch when they are below it.
That might be the one of the few none contradicting decent things someone has said that involves a recent version more easily creatable version of an older bug that was turned into a qol
With OGs, trees are the first place they look, so if you use the trees, do it only some of the time to switch things up. There are pig sounds from the audio decoys at times, or healing, and those can be helpful. Even just throwing a few of them will gum up their audio so they’re less likely to notice other clues. If you crouch when you jump and move, don’t use vision much, and change your position every time you attack, it’s not bad at all. I usually get the first kill with the disc, and then can kill the rest easily with the combi, while they fight to help their team back up. OGs will notice the bear trap audio and visual cues 98% of the time. They really only signify that you intend to stick around that area for a bit.
When you go in close running circles around them, they waste all their ammo, while you take away their health. I focus on the medic first, then the duches, then dantes, unleashed, etc.

Which predators with discipline classes do you find least visible to PC players? Someone should do a video with least to most visible, for every predator. Obviously feral and oni being most visible, most easily able to find with tweaks.

It’s not a bug. It’s not instant unless you have fast switching hands. It’s just utilizing an unmapped button for an unmapped feature.

It still has its uses. Just means that it’s used to cause a lot of noise, temporary confusion, or them thinking pred is healing. The traps are great for heli, but I don’t plan for matches to last that long.
When I first started playing, when low on health, I ran out a bit and threw an audio decoy in one direction, and then I’d run the other to heal. Worked every time.

I’ll break it down for you.
First of all, I’m an OG player, I played PHG since April of 2020, bought the deluxe version of the game on Epic Games a week after the game came out.
Being an OG doesn’t make you instantly a good player since there are players who play this game since release and skill-wise they are still average at best. I’m not one of those. I’ve been playing PvP games since I was 10, I like to compete.
The good players are the one who are competitive in nature, those that don’t mind dying in order to improve their gameplay. That’s why private matches against good players are the best for improving your gameplay.
Also platform doesn’t matter. There are alot of console players who think that PC players are instantly good at the game, just because they play on PC. This is completely false. Back on subject.
Depends tbh. If a Predator jumps on the branch, close to me, even if I’m not looking at that branch, I can hear the sound effect of the branch and I know where the Pred is. Audio decoys don’t produce the sound of healing, pig sound yeah, but then again I know where the pig spawns are and if the pig getting killed is the first sound I hear where there’s no pig spawns, it’s audio decoy.
The sound difference between the actual Predator and a decoy is easy to spot for me. Predator clicks occasionally, audio decoy clicks non stop until it switches for another audio effect and all that goes away (decoy expires) after 30 seconds or when I destroy it.
You’re still visible, your cloak that is, not only that, but when you crouch, your the bigger target, easier for me to snipe you. You’re bigger and slower, free sniper shots for me basically.
What’s actually better is when you sprint and crouch, that way your Predator is sliding, mix that up with the leap or zig zagging when sprinting and you’ll be harder to hit.
This is actually good because everytime you attack, you give away your position.
This applies to randoms in pubs cause they can’t land a shot to save their lives, do that in front of 4 good OG’s and you’re gonna go second wind faster than you think.
As you should, take out the field medic first, then focus on taking out the weaker classes like Scout/Recon, cause both Dutch 87 and Dante are tanky classes and they are harder to down/kill.
I play on high graphics because you can see the shimmering of the cloak better compared to low graphics. So Disciplined or no Disciplined, the shimmering of the cloak, it’s visibility, it’s the same to me.
I would say that smaller Preds like Exiled are harder to notice cause of the small body compared to Bionic let’s say. But they all “shimmer” the same if you get what I’m saying.
Feral’s cloak is bugged, you can see it all over the map so that Pred shouldn’t be in this conversation at all.
I haven’t played against Oni simply because I haven’t been home for the last five months. So I can’t comment on Oni’s cloak, I don’t know if it works as it should or not. Other players here probably know.
