The pred needs to be able to pick his gear back up. It makes no sense that the pred can not pick its motion trackers, bear traps, or audio decoys back up.
Not only does it not make sense mechanic wise it makes no sense lore wise. The pred is not supposed to leave pred tech behind hence the self destruct yet the pred is willing to leave behind advanced tech like the bear trap, motion tracker and audio decoy?
