Pred needs ways to break up the fireteam.

Seems like the Predator is still pretty limited when it comes to breaking up a good fireteam and creating opportunity. First of all…I still hate the parry. That being said, if it’s in the game and staying in, fine. I’ll deal. I can work around it. Still, I think the Pred needs better ways to breakup a good fireteam. Sure there are ways to work around it. But I have played a few games where I felt like I was up against pro players and really had trouble finding any moments. I got a slam in that downed one, a few melee ambushes and a good caster shot or two, but it still seems that unless I wanna just burn a 2nd wind and a health kit there was no way I was getting rid of any of them.

After hitting lvl 100 I’m starting to ask myself “is this the experience I want?” …and I’m starting to think maybe not. It’s tough, because right now we seem to be in this really difficult place where if the fireteam works perfectly, they’re almost unbeatable. Yet even a slightly sloppy one and it’s just a bulldoze. Not sure what the answer for this is…

I don’t want Friday the 13th. I don’t want Dead by Daylight. I like that the fireteam can fight back…but the Pred needs to be more dangerous…but not so dangerous that one mistake and it’s over…dman dude idk…

About now is quite balance (except for reinforcements) . You can deal damage from distance and rush in only for quick execution, then jump out. You don’t need a second wind to kill one, range damage is the key to be successfull with Predator. And to be good with range damage you have to work a lot for AIM, just take time.

What is supposed to be the Predator’s greatest strength is its stealth capabilities, and the Predator’s stalking and stealth capabilities are not well enough brought to life in this game, yet (yeah yeah, I know you can sit still and be invisible, untill someone is a bit attentive). You are going to have a very hard time breaking up the team without those capabilities and the current lack of secondary functionality of the weopons (secondary effects need more addressing than balancing dmg).
Way too often matches quickly end up in the FT spamming spot and starts hunting the Predator, or the Predator going in swinging.
I have very few games where I have felt a feeling of suspense as a FT member. Those few times it is because a very skilled player pushes the game mechanics, and not because the game mechanics see to creating that game play experience. I feel it is a poor sign that it has to rest on the shoulders of a minority of players to bring forth the experience which I understood was the original intent with this game. It often quickly ends in this all out brawl that reminds me more of a “let us go blast some monsters”-game.
No one should be able to see a Predator from afarr - despite his FT class. The feeling of suspense from running around in the Hunting Grounds is reduced to soldiers running around in an shooting gallery seldomly feeling any pressure from mission objectives or the alien.
I do not buy the “get good” towards the Predators, and neither do I buy into the argument that the Predator’s capabilities should not be improved or else no one will play FT. If the argument is that players should be limited in order to make the game work, then the game is broken. This is why it is so damn important to twaek the game mechanics so that the experience of playing FT and Predator is completey different and not just vision mode, cloak, skins, running in trees and some different weapons. Right now both are trying to hunt eachother, the question is just which form you find the coolest.

Truth. I think predator being stealthier and that ridiculous spotting going away would be helpful. It’s one of those features that as Predator we all know how retarded it is, and as FT I’m asking myself why is this a thing??

I agree, reinforcements is way more broken than any Pred Class, Pred Build, or Pred Weapon…

@FT mains: I’ll tell yuns what though, i’m willing to trade… you let the Devs remove reinforcements, and i’ll be happy to let them remove the Berserker…
I think thats a fair compromise…
