Pred Slam and Building Camping Fix that needs to happen

If they have syringes, you are probably right. But what FT runs all 4 syringes. Only supports can really afford to wast their gear slots on syringes, because unless you are in a premade, you cant trust that your teamates will have ammo/medkits, so you gotta bring em yourself.

Heres the thing. If I know they are in a building, all of them. Say that 2 tan story building on overgrowth.

Im gonna slam the roof, immediately after jump over to a place where I can see the door, and fire two charged shots into that room. Now if they dont run out of that room, I gurantee none of them will survive the two shots. They might survive the first with syringes, but Im definitely gonna follow up.

Energy dictates all of the most powerful pred weapons for good reason, because it has to be shared with the cloak and thermal vision. Take slam out of that, and now pred has access to both of his strongest weapons at the same time.

Every class om fireteam runs syringes support typically runs syringe. Med kit ammo scout runs syringe flashbang or smoke recon runs syringe smoke thermite grenade. As for the roof slam i thought we agreed to take that out but lets say its still in youd still have to get a good shot in with the caster on your left shoulder without hitting anything and even if you fire in there its not guaranteed to get splash damage even when their close and if it does it may only do 20 damage lol

Oh well if we are taking roof slam out then there really is no point to changing slam at all. Because the issue isnt slam itself. nor how many times it can be done (unless an exploit is being used to do the damage without cooldown). Its an issue of how lame is it that pred can do so much damage through a roof.

If the roof slam is gone then tbh Idc if the slam is on its own bar or not really.

Also while assuming that every FT member is running something has to be done for balance purposes, I dont run syringes personally. not all the time. And im sure others dont either.

You’re making slash damage into something its not ive been shot near my feet and only losd 10-15 health points spalsh is not op

To be fair could have been a half charged shot.

I almost always full charge, so I definitely know im doing more than 10 damage when I blast people.

I dunno though. Like I said though if we remove roof slam, whats the point in adding a seperate bar for it?

And fixing slam is more for the health of the game sure base slam isnt broken you can gey melted during recovery and you dont have energy but with the new blind if the pred does get away they wait 8 seconds and do it again raising the cooldown to 30 seconds forces the pred player to use his combi stick his bow plasma caster pistol and is overall healthier gameplay where the pred player will get better too and gameplay will look balanced and cleaner than someone using one move over over again

I mean, the blind isnt a full blind though, you can still see, relatively clearly. if pred ground slams near me and its not through a roof, its usually not hard to find and light him up. But im on pc so I can flick around faster than a controller can probably.

Ive never really seen ground slam on its own as an issue though, even when spammed.

If he keeps spamming it, the FT just needs to spread out. Hes gonna pounce on someone, and while that person might be blinded, if the rest of the FT is spread enough they can wipe him.

That is correct i played with a pc squad earlier and i pretty much told them to separate just a little bit so atleast three or us can get shots off i agree but at the same time i still think its too abusable with leaps having no audio cues

Leaps themselves have no ques, but him slamming does very much so. so as long as you arent touching cheeks with teamates, you can punish hasty leaps.

I haven’t read the entire discussion here, but if we get destroyable buildings, then roof slam won’t be needed.
I dont think it should be on a 30 second cd, but slam isnt really a main part of my arsenal, so I can’t say I care too much about changes to it.

I would however like to see more abilities, cause I dont really like how slam leaves you open.

We’re not getting destroyable buildings unless OP is the one volunteering to code it and the game barely runs as is so lets be honest and take that out of the equation. That’s not something that gets patched into games after the fact.

Slam not being attached to energy would allow you to caster the hell out of people while they’re stunned/flashed which would have less counterplay than just going for another predictable slam in 10 seconds.
Rather than being given ~10 seconds to think or shoot at the revealed predator the pred now goes straight from a slam into cloaked pre-fired caster shots from behind cover while ~2 people are still recovering from blind gg? Can also immediately secure ranged downs if slamming revives doesn’t overload lol.

I imagine they playtested slam and made it use energy for a reason. You take the energy management out of it you just slam people around corners recloak and caster its too much pressure to give the pred with 0 response time.

I just love how we’re making destroyable buildings into this virtual reality idea lol theres destroyable buildings im sega games lol buildings and structures have been getting destroyed for a while now thie isnt foreign coding or technology lol to answer your question they need bigger teams and better coders because obviously their team is small as of now. I saw a post theyre looking to hire lol they need help this isnt impossible

It’s illfonic. They struggled to get this fairly straightforward and tiny game running at 30 fps bug free on its publisher console.
