Pred spotting

I just went up against an AFK predator and every time I aimed down sights on the pred it automatically spotted it for me. Has that always been a thing? I thought you had to press the spot button for the pred to be highlighted.

Ah okay. That would be pretty powerful if it was for active preds too lol.

I know right. I think its there for the ppl that know spawns and will go kill the pred for the easy round

Fair enough. That’s good then. Gets it over with and gives quick xp.

Yeah. Its a good thing to have since the game for some reason makes them crouch and are totally invisible. I think also that the Preds cloak activates by itself so the Pred has some sort of Ai programing

There is an auto spoting but it only works on non player controlled objects(AI, Alarms, and Money)

I something as Recon will auto spot pred blood while it is running away

I play as Assault and I can do the auto spot
Maybe different classes spot different things

Well yeah that is a mechanic for all classes. I am talking about the recons “passive spot” ability that is supposed to help you track the pred but rarely works. If I see a cloaked pred leap while its bleeding sometimes I will auto spot the blood spurt

I just got confirmation from a friend over PS messenger saying “If you aim directly at something for a few seconds it auto spots”

Yeah anything ai related. I have even marked bricks by just aiming at them.
