I rarely play Pred, but I do from time to time, only against players from my clan
If you can nail a predator jumping trough the trees, you can sure as hell nail a FT member on the ground distracted by quite a few NPCs. Then we have objective, using mud, using med kits, ammo bags, whatever other reason you need to stop.
Even if moving, its also not very hard to assume where to shoot (in front of him), more so in narrow paths. I don’t think the bow is OP but its not hard to land shots and even headshots. You just need good ping.
nah… nailing a shot to the pred with an assault rifle is easy af. Sniper is a bit more challenging but then again you have scopes.
Bow has no scope. Gives away your position immediately and is as slow as a sniper. Not even close in skill.

You said it was hard to nail shoots on moving targets. Its not assuming you got good ping.
It also does not give your position away immediately (unless he is bad and sits in the open and shoots when you’re looking at him). You need at least 2-3 shoots before you figure out where they are coming from. If he is not dumb he is going to keep an eye on the FT doing the mission and where they are looking at. Now really good 4 man premades that can have snipers at a distance keeping watch and making it really hard to even get close… That is another discussion. Thing is LANDING shots on moving targets with the bow is not that hard.
Is there a place I can find that has information like this for all of the weapons?
brah wtf. bow is the weapon who require the most skilled control, its the more hard to control and the most BUGGY (aka arrow who goes behind you when you try to shoot a ft to close of a tree…) the real set of unskilled wweapon are combistick, netgun. they are the most easy to use.

that on this end its entirely ft Problem, who guys need to watch around you and on the tree, if you don’t do that well you’r screwed and the predator will have a lot of fun. also bow is uless against FT premade way too hard to really capitalize with it against a well seasoned group

Useless? Now you’re exaggerating. If we’re talking about good 4 man premade on FT side, then a good predator is going to do fine with a bow, now as good as with a pistol but that thing is OP anyway (btw on PC, on console things could be different, no idea).
The bow used to light up red when charged, revealing your position, but they shadow removed that around 1.06 or so. The pistol has the same basic problem. They both allow you to do damage and remain fully invisible and unspotable.
In my opinion the bow should do 40 damage uncharged and keep the same charged damage, but bring back the red glow, and the pistol should do 39 damage and have a blue muzzle flash that lasts for about a quarter second.
Unfortunately, I still feel that the damage from throwing a combistick is the most OP weapon, and that should be adjusted to about 100 damage for a body hit.
For now, your only chance to survive good plasma pistol and bow users is to run indoors and force them to aim down a lane. Hopefully, you can punish them when they look through a door to shoot. Obviously, a really good predator will just switch to the plasma caster, but I guess that’s why I feel the other three weapons are OP.

Nope. Leave the bow alone. A bow is a bow is a bow. It has no bells or whistles and takes the most skill to use properly and you have to charge your shots to get max damage. If you land a good shot with it, you deserve it. Remember, theres no lock-on for any weapons. You have to get those hits yourself. And “impossible to get spotted? Completely invisible?” I’m afraid not. I get spotted just sitting there looking. Don’t even need to fire the bow. Players who use spotting alot get the job done. There is a slight red trail to the bow and a small red light to see if you are looking directly at a bow-user. It has its ‘tells’, as do almost all predator projectile weapons, wheres FT weapons have no tells and can be suppressed. Leave Pred and FT weapons alone. Figure out a good strategy on both sides and practice, Practice, PRACTICE. No one wins every match, no one loses every match. Its fine.

Actually he is completely invisible and you can’t spot him if you did not damage him.
The trail is actually not enough to find the pred for the regular team. Not even close.
The FT has been getting constant nerfs, the preds did not want to “practice, practice, practice”. Now in the state the FT is(after constant nerfs across every single patch) and with the regular joe not running 4 man premade teams they come here complaining how OP this or that is and they are right. The pred IS op for the regular guy playing randoms. The predator can leap in and kill multiple people in melee.
Yes, this changes if you have a bunch of good people running premades, thing is? Those are not the majority of people, not even close. Predator keep yelling how they want this or that balanced around TOP players running 4 man premades, can you blame the rest of 90% of players feeling fucked because of this?

The slow moving light up projectile that takes minimum 3 hits for a down is OP against hit scan weapons and instant heals? OK.

Charged up head shot is 120 damage or so. FT has no instantly heals. FT has a regen STIM. You could very well be dead before healing back up with a second bow shoot.
