Alright, so here’s my take on the state of balance between the Predator and fireteam.
Honestly, I think removing the bugginess that already exists with how the Predator operates would boost their performance considerably and should definitely be handled before making more invasive changes to them.
For instance, if I rush a person and down them and then immediately start hitting F to claim the trophy, the game will often bug and I will be unable to claim unless I walk away from them first. Obviously, seconds count in this scenario and I simply don’t have time to walk away from the player I just downed and then walk back. I take tremendous damage in those seconds and I’m forced to retreat or go into second wind.
Another bug I’ve encountered with the Predator is being unable to jump. I haven’t narrowed down the source precisely, but it usually happens when I run out of stamina while traversing trees and then jump down. It’s hard to recreate.
The net gun feels super buggy. If I try to aim and fire it quickly, my Predator will often just melee instead of firing it, even though I see the crosshairs appear on my screen. This one actually happens very consistently.
There’s plenty more bugs than just this, of course, but the point is that they greatly impact gameplay. It doesn’t make sense to make invasive changes (or reworks) to the character when bugs like these exist. I honestly think that if bugs such as these were fixed, the Predator would be noticeably better.
That said, I’m interested in knowing about any other crazy bugs you guys may have experienced with the Predator.
