Was thinking about how when Pred is camouflaged, it extends to his weapons. Does that happen because he touches the weapon or the camouflage covers a certain radius around him or both? Or maybe the weapons have some kind of a device that allows the wrist computer to make them camouflaged. If latter would be the case, though it’s unlikely, then the smart disk could be camouflaged too, while in flight. That would be pretty OP if FT couldn’t see it coming.

Its advanced technology bro. That’s is why we have OLWF and Stargazer competing to understand and then exploit it for profit (they don’t care about national defense). Greedy bastards, all of them. I find it easier to identify with an alien that seeks the hunt for honor not gain.

tbf it depends on the pred. Jungle Hunter didn’t have camo on his wristblades when they popped against Dillon, but City Hunter, Scar, Wolf, and the super predators all seemed to. Hell even the classic pred from Predators (who was a jungle hunter stand in) had full cloaked claws, so I guess the original Jungle Hunter just wanted an extra challenge?
Anyway, it’s like a light bending field as I understand it. It bends the light around the pred to make them partially invisible. It does that with a body wide energy field which can be disrupted on some variants (see celtic in AVP.) Some variants exist that make the pred completely invisible, but they aren’t very sporting so you won’t see them used much. I mean you are talking about a race that has weapons they can carry on their backs that can eliminate a fully grown Xenomorph queen, but it’s illegal for standard hunters because it would make the game too easy.
Pretty sure they could be perfectly invisible if they want to but they specifically use like “meh” tech to make it more “fair”

Thank for the explanation. I do remember JH (movie) wrist blade visible while he is cloaked.
I guess for game purposes they made it local, though it would seem that objects in near vicinity of Pred should be camouflaged too.
