Just played a game as Predator against randoms, and while in their general area. I could hear everything being said, from people needing healing and which way I want, and that a guy had no more syringes left.
Surely I shouldn’t be able too? It seems mic chat is boardcasted locally regardless of who can listen in. Kinda counters the idea of mic coordination if I know all their plans…
Well yeah but in the movies predator can hear the humans speak so in only makes sense plus it adds to the planning in a way for the predator to have an idea what there doing albeit if you want to counter this just use a voip program like PS party chat or discord so they don’t really need to fix this

I’m pretty sure they made it like that, it’s pretty cool though I think it’s part of the tactics.
It is too had that being able to record and play back the FT mics to them (Predator mimic style) would have potential legal issues. That would be very cool.
Can he hear us all the time or just when he is near us? It’s hard enough to find a rando team using mics to actually co-ordinate a mission let alone having to deal with him hearing us all the time no matter what.
I get the “realistic” nature that he would be able to hear voices talking, but I thought more if I do a stupid line with Arnie “we need to get out of here” / “i need some ammo” - i expect him to hear those things fine but not my voice chat in the party.
As a Pred main, this is how it works. I can see whoever is talking in the upper left corner, I can only hear the FT game chat when I get into proximity with them, like 75m would be my guess, hard to estimate as we can’t set waypoints or spot as the Pred. Hope this helps.
That’s for clarifying mate much appreciated. Still think he should only be able to hear the one liners from the characters but it is what it is i guess.
Well I can talk to them as well when I get within range also, most preds keep their mics on mute, I like to have fun with them. Also if they are camping in a building, I will give them a warning after a few minutes before I utterly destroy them.
Pred’s never pipe up on chat until the game is over for a GG when i’ve played! Guess I’ll start whispering then lol. Thanks again mate.
Evey now and again I chat with ft in the game seiing if they notic I’m the predator lotta the times they don’t and I have them walk out of buildings or over to where some med kit is for an ambush

You can even see noise bubbles when ft is talking.
Also when Predator has infrared you can see these tiny bubbles appear whenever a loud noise is made. You can also see the bubble when ever a FT has the mic on and is talking. When they talk the noise indicator bubbles.
Only when infrared is on.
