I now fully understand what happened now
Thank you all for this valuable information.
I can’t delete the post so I will leave the video up.
Predator died came back to life and killed some?
The answer lies in quantum mechanics!
Dam I’m not smart enough to know anything about that
Goddamn it must i play teacher again?!
yes i have a degree in quantum mechanics and nanotech…this…is a classic case of spooky action at a distance.
What you and i perceive as relative linear time, in gaming pyshics and modern IT bandwidth, what happens in your timeline may not be exactly in syncronous with your fellow players. Include server discontinuity, what happens in the virtual realm may happen in any order in which your PC or PS computes it. An event may happen after the event occurs from one person perspective as opposed to another. simple as that. Its because the server does not predict it correctly. there was paper here publish some where…for another game explaining it all. Fuck mind boggling shit if you think about it in tangible reality terms. But in VR terms its quite normal!
Here is the rub…when each of us OWNS a super computer, those discontinuities become more syncronised and we’ll be playing more accurate representations of what happens in a game in the path that is MORE orderly.
Right now, the gaming server and our computers are interpreting what it can be conceived as “real-time”. As you can see “real-time” to our standards are not accurate based off our current technology.
Kind of makes you go…“and i thought we had cutting edge technology!”.
See…“Time” is the biggest WTF when it comes to computers. Computers are going “shit” “we pretty slow – in a global network kind of way…sorry in a Universal kind of way…sorry in the Sol System kind of way!” Then you’re going off in the deepend.
If i asked you to google Atomic Clocks…you’re asking for something about 5-10 years down the road. Then you’re dealing with realtime calculations between Mars and Earth.
To put things into perspective:
Radio coms between the Moon and Earth is like 10 minutes off the mark…that is a delay in radio coms.
Between Earth & Mars there is about 30 minutes or something.
These types of Sol Systems communcations is fucked up because youll never get it realtime. So forget about it.
Between two cities…this is a matter of nanoseconds, but in the realm of Melee attacks, you’ll find some discrepancies between your first punch and the second.
Shit I should take notes
See ping times matter.
If i told you a bathroom echo of your voice is 20 ms…you’re about right on the money on realtime feedback. Like this delay in communication is almost NILL but noticable to the human ear.
Thats good!
But a delay of about 80ms and above…is like a major flaw in the system of communication.
Because realtime gaming is using gun fire and physical 1-2 punches with fists…were talking about 200ms at the most. at the least its about 100ms.
If there is a hiccup or slowing in your INTERNET bandwidth…of more than 300ms…you might have a delay in the signal you’re getting. There would be delay in the second fist punch. And sometimes…that fist punch that follows might come effortlessless ahead of time because the bandwidth that was sending that last punch is making it look like it came ahead of the one preceding that one!
This is stuff that highschools, colleges, and even mainstream television documentaries aren’t discussing yet. Its realitive to gaming…but…nobodies talking about it.
Its pseudo-science but relative to what is of interest to us today.
I have to applaud you for explaining it the way you did.
You are best teacher here right now
Surely i am still not Harvard grade…but Thank you!
You likely faced @James-Cameron Predator
He always updates his version of the game with new experimental toys
And with my Asus Vivo book I am never under 100 ms. Or rarely. I hear second wind happen a few seconds before I see it. New laptop in the works, but for now I’m just trying to have fun.
@MassImpact124 thanks for the explanation, bud. 🍺🍺
That was rad.
James Cameron does in fact have this ability but it has never been needed. James Cameron has never been second winded in the game and has only ever taken damage as pred once. This was the time that James Cameron had to go feed his xenomorph before it ate someone and decided to decloak right in front of 4 support classes with LMGs and miniguns.
James Cameron was AFK for 10 mins and heard the FT firing for most of that time. However upon my return I found I was still alive and they missed with all but one bullet. Turns out they were an undefeated PC premade team but where in such awe of the Mr Black pred skin James Cameron was using that they simply couldn’t focus.
Once James Cameron picked up his controller they were dead and trophied in precisely 3.76 seconds. James Cameron doesn’t usually play with his food for so long but was furious about taking that damage so used the deletion plasmacaster which not only kills you but deletes the game from your system.
This is a typical error of p2p servers, it is what is known as: I shot him first without misfiring in the back, he turned around and he killed me and he killed me, or also: damn I killed him after he killed me wtf. unfortunately this problem benefits the lower connections and hurts the higher ones. It is because of how the data of the players is collected, they move from your console or pc to the server, from the server to the other player, and then back, from the other player to the server and from the server to you, (this was one of the problems of Destiny 2 that could not be competitive because of this). However, the dedicated Battlefield servers receive the data of all the players, it is processed by the server and forwards it to the players, reducing this problem to almost imperceptible or eliminating it completely
Well, I wasn’t expecting this from the forums this morning…
I have seen this before. So the Pred went down beside a FT member who is down. When the Pred player held down the action button to start the self destruct system, the game picked it up as making a claim since it’s the same button.
