Predator hunting grounds on PS5 tested

So I booted up Predator on ps5 heres my take away

Yes it runs smoother, still 30fps but much more stable

It has dualsense support which had to be added in manually so the devs have been doing something for ps5
(drawing bow, charging plasma caster, leap all have different vibrations and the way it feels)

It loads much faster now( I did not do a comparison yet but I will

And overall it feels and runs alot better than it does on pro and base ps4

so load times are probably comparable to the standard fare on PC as per SSDs or nvme.m2.

It took less than 30 seconds,

my pro took around 20 to 30 to load into private match and this is noticbly less

It takes from main menu to private lobby around 2 seconds

It takes from private lobby to match start

15 seconds.

How about the low resolution foliage texture popping? Is it evident? on PC it is evident…but i assume it works better on PS4 and PS5.

Here is a test: Take a look down a scope of a gun, do you see significant foliage resolution changes when you do this?

As far as load times, i dont think PHG really had a problem. Most people are concerned with the 30fps cap. I must contend that at 4k they should really let it happen.

This is Illfonic. Don’t expect that much, it’s probably the PS4 version with better optimization

Thats it basically no graphical difference just loads faster and runs smoother.

I would record footage but you cant tell its on ps5.

Yeah, for any difference to be made it would have to have ps5 patch.

Also the pop in for weapons and models are still there.

Smoother still sounds better…but, can it handle satelitte camps on Backwater with a full squad of Fireteam, plasma casters, thermal, cloaking and an AI alarm pop😈 Because if it still runs smooth when that’s going on, it truly is a superior version.

Yes there are no dips in frames playing Predator on backwater can confirm.

I would be concerned if I couldn’t keep a stable 30 on ps5.

That would be a game issue not console.
