I never defended the avp movies but now i will. First and foremost the 2nd predator film set the stage for ācoopā between human and pred.

Capcom (Japanese game dev) thought machicko was dope too. They honored her in the avp arcade game as linn kurosawa another awesome coop between human and pred.

If predators were always killing humans and none of the coop stuff ever happened. The predator turns into another generic halloween āEvilā alien monster thing.
Imho its the many dynamics of the predator that makes the character franchise that more intriguing.
There are sides of them that are humanlikeā¦relatable. If u read the comics there are so many different types of hunters.
If they were nulled down to either bad ass human killer or sorry pos human killerā¦ Then we are stuck with a generic monster from hollywood like boogeyman or sum shit.

I said it was a good idea, just done poorly. Very poorly in films and comics. Elder gave Harrigan an old flintlock pistol, not predator tech and certainly didnāt invite him to be hunting buddies. Machiko sucks. Dechande sucks. That whole storyline is awful. It existing doesnāt make it good. The Predator (4th film) exists and its a disgrace.
Linn Kurosawa is nothing like Machiko. Nothing. She never went hunting with the Preds, they didnāt share the gear, etc. Shes a cyborg ninja. The Preds happened to show up to hunt during an alien infestation. Theyre not gonna be besties. She just happens to be Asian. Likely because it was developed by Capcom.
Ive read all the comics and own most of them. Read many novels too. More than half are poor, sad to say.
Avp is a great concept. It just so happens that the only worthwhile adaptation of that idea is games.
U seem pretty kool man, but there are a lot of things in your reply that dont hold up. First and foremost predators careless if we have their tech. JH87, Ghost, along with every predator u can name left their tech behind.
Mask and shoulder canon in the jungleā¦spear, disc, and shoulder canon left on the slaughter house.
Owlf/stargazer kept all that shitā¦avpr etc. Lets not forget the games and comics like concrete jungle.
In fact the entire story of concrete jungle was to PROVE even with humans using alien tech Yautja ARE superior species/killers/hunters.

I recall Linn Kurosawa to be a japanese name like machiko is too. Like the entire game dev staff of capcom in the 90s. Im thinking u a teeny bopper or something now. TOO many holes in your argument.

Both of those images are fake or uncertain. The second one is altered model of the āMenaceā skin and this first one is actually pretty convincing; but I doubt itās really the in game model.

1.)The self destruction of JH certainly destroyed the mask and caster he dropped to fight Arnold. The Dutch tapes say as much. There was nothing but a hole and a bunch of radiation. Also JH certainly planned on winning and retrieving his gear.
2.) CH was also going to detonate as well, but Harrigan cut the bomb in half and he dropped off the side of a building. Then he panicked. Iām sure he cared about his stuff, but was more concerned with surviving in that moment. Regardless, his bomb wouldāve taken care of his stuff too. He just didnāt get to finish it. (Side note, if heād made it back to his ship and Harrigan had lost him, I wonder what his punishment wouldāve been?)
3.) In Predators, Nolan had the gear from Preds heād killed. No one gave him anything. Plus, he was trapped there forever, so him having a mask and such was far less dangerous to the Super predators secrecy. There was no one to tell about it. No OWLF, no Stargazer. He was screwed, mask or no mask.
4.) Linn Kurosawa is Asian. Thats literally the only thing she and Machiko have in common. And there are over a billion Asian people in China alone, so then I guess half of them must be just like Machiko too, right? Right? No, of course not. Thats ridiculous as is any Linn/Machiko connection.
5.) We donāt talk about The Predator in any kind of qualifying fashion here because its garbage. You definitely didnāt either, but I cant help but hammer that point home. Its justā¦just SO badā¦
6.) Scarface was punished for a century, marooned on a hostile planet with almost no gear for losing his tech and then he was made to go and fix his mistake. Preds definitely care about their stuff. There can be no doubt.
The past incarnations of Avp stunk. Now, the newer stuff (Fire and Stone, Life and Death) are a little better, but still have plenty of flaws, but theyāre a damn sight better than either film or the old comics. I stand by my well defended point that the only actually good version of Avp is in video games. Avp 1 and 2 on pc and Avp 2010 are really good. They nail it. And then Avp: extinction on Android was fantastic (if that had been out when I was younger, Iād have paid the $50 for it. Thank God it was $5!). None of those games feature the awful sins of past bad storytellers. The creatures are at their purest forms. If it aināt broke, donāt fix itā¦ or if youāre Fox, If it aināt broke, fix it til it is š¤¦āāļø.

Youāre a r*****. Linns biography ( on a fan made site) says nothing about her hunting using predator gear. None of her gear is predator gear. Machiko was a corporate muckity-muck. Had semi long black hair which she put into dreadlocks. Theyāre nothing alike beyond being of Asian descent.
That could be JHs gear, but its likely not. The film isnāt specific on it. Its probably from another of his clan though, good find. The backpack portion of the plasma caster is missing.
And we donāt talk about The Predator, except to shit on it!! Strikes 1-27 (thats a full 9 innings worth.) I reiterate, the Avp films, novels and comics are garbage. But its fun to see that you love garbage. Enjoy the smell!
