Still not a fan of 2 of the 3 designs in this, better then expected, language was a fail imo, 4th act gave star wars vibes. Badlands may be bad minus predator action scenes and predator light saber jousting
Predator: Killer of Killers Review (Spoilers)
Let’s fight to the death then on a geonosian arena to determine who’s right
Its a complicated case, Dan cleary is going full on establishing is own lore concerning the Predator Race as a whole, wich mean discarding atleast for the moment the expanded universe and comics so far.
Also yeah, Royce might have joigned the Super Predator so we wont be seeing him anytime soon.
What is kind of confusing is why they are going full on with the abduction thing, like i get the reasoning but i feel like it will buthead with most of previous Predator killers.
Prey was better imo, but this was still a decent movie
It reminds me of the John Wick sequels. 4 twenty minute long action sequences with a bare bones plot stringing them together.
First act, story was fine, action was cool, predator was too fucking big like two-guys-stacked-on-top-of-each-other-is-still-shorter too big. Death was neat.
Second Act, story was good, action was cool, predator and gadgets were cool. Death was cool.
Third Act, story was okay, action was meh, predator wasn’t playing fair, you can’t just use auto tracking hook spears to take out their engines and the auto net launcher was cheap. Death was weird.
Fourth Act, story was trash like why are the humans fighting for the right to fight head predator and why did the pilot kid not get anything of use to fight with, action was nice, predator was too big again but cool looking. But the ending felt off. Like the whole gladiator arena thing looked like the after credits of quantumania. Like the massive arena was filled with predators just going wild for humans to kill each other and then the king to just kind of step on the last one. Its so weird.
incorrect. There were none. Just a plain empty arena surrounded by a structure that prevents them from going anywhere. The only other predators were the foot soldiers which were pretty cool looking as well. Then the fleet of pred ships.
Whatever lore he wants to do in Badlands, doing KoK won’t interfere. Probably he toned down the lore in this one as to not interfere too much with Badlands. But Predator things…I’m not seeing much story in KoK for them specifically as a race. There usually are a build of story, like why they just suddenly fought these humans, but nothing about the stories explained the logic. Not as much as Predator 87 and P2 did with the heat and war stuff.
There simply isn’t enough pred story in here to talk about anything new except for them collars.
In an interview Dan explains how AWESOME the easter egg at the end is…yet it explained nothing and really wasn’t the reveal that was interesing at all to me. Nor was the patently obvious Flute theme soundtrack. Was that a nod to Prometheus/Alien flute?
We saw the crowd in the stands twice. The memorable one was when the king set the rules for the duel and cut his hand, and the entire crowd followed suit.
not that you should boast about it, but how the hell did you get that from these few frames? I had to really look for it, but I thought these were just set decoration! clearly it didn’t communicate enough.
and that latino was clearly being ‘too kind’ to grandma and brotha from another motha. During WW2 i doubt that was the common thinking of military latinos…but you know. I felt it annoying for them to portray people like this as if they lived life on planet Disney+MickeyMouseClub.
Why do you have a problem with THAT out of ALL things?
Suck it @BadBlood your review was as sucking on Dans teets like all the other Dan Bots out there making this slop of a KoK something that it isn’t.
