Predator makes hiss noises when near players.

You can hear the Predator hiss when his in close proximity.This gives players a warning that the Predator has entered the area and you need to watch out. This shouldn’t happen and should be optional if the Predator wants to make hissing sounds.

this has happened to me multiple times today

I was standing still and the fireteam was running around me trying to locate me… all was going great until I started clicking

gave my position away -_-

Agreed 100 percent predator is a hunter he or she will never give themselves away but from a gaming stand point they do need some type of warning the predator is in the area other wise predator would be op if his stealth was 100 percent

The predator still has to attack anyway and a good team will be hard to ambush.

I remember in the movie while the part when dutch and his team where making a trap for the predator…the part when dutch was walking in the trap zone, checking if the predator is here but wasnt sure then a trap hit behind him and the pred was caught…what im trying to say is that when the predator was walking behind him trying to get the kill…he never made those sounds he was trying to be soundless as possible.

The Predator only does the hiss noises while you are cloaked.
That is why I rarely stay cloaked at all. Only when I need to get away, get into melee or position myself closer, like on a rooftop and then I turn it off.
Sure the sound of the cloak turning off will alert them. but they won’t hear me every 10 seconds pointing out which direction I am at.
Also I try to keep some distance so they might not be as alerted by the sound.

I’ve had many games where I take the Fire Team by surprise doing this. As they expect to hear you long before they can see you.

it’s not a fool proof tactic ofc. It’s tricky to manage but it has worked great for me so far.

the predator should not be heard when it is hidden, in the entire predator franchise it never has made noise and that is what makes it weak, an alien that their fortress is the stealth and that they make it so loud is a macabre joke, like the blocking to knife …
