Predator Motion detectors not working PS4

@IllFonic I’ve played Predator 4 times now using motion detectors and they did not detect anything. Even while the fireteam was running right through them. Didn’t even detect AI. Ugh. This patch was a mistake imo

They have been working for me on PC. Are you PC or PS4?

Positive. I literally watched them run by them including AI and nothing went off. I set 2 up by a FT reinforcement location and not one went off.

I use them alot, in my experience I have never had issues with them other than the odd time they don’t get thrown where you aim. But that’s all range weapons or gear. I’m on ps4

This glitch happened to me but it wasn’t consistent. Although it confused me as well. Scan when they’re camping in a building but it won’t scan anything and they’re not even muddled up (correct me if I’m wrong but they don’t show up on the detectors when they’re muddled up right)

Pretty sure muddied up still shows on motion detector.

What was the placement?
ie:
on the walls (internal/external),
On the ceiling (as in roof but inside the building)
On the roof (external)
Floor.

I have noticed issues if they are externally placed on the roof they tend not to work (same position on the inside of the building they work).

Sometimes they do because I put it outside so they don’t destroy it so either it’s they implemented that into the game after 1.10 or it’s just yet another bug to add to the list

Well I hope motion only means “motion” lol and not “You dirty bastard” detectors. But for real it wouldn’t surprise me if Illfonic fucked it up. XD

ok so just tested this with @SilverbornReaver
tests were pure PC based.
Video is processing (I’ll link it tomorrow because it’s nearly 5am here now and my wife is likely to castrate me soon).

Test results:

Detector on ceiling (interior): Detects
Detector on roof (exterior): Detects
Detector on wall (interior): Detects
Detector on wall (exterior): Detects
Detector through solid object (such as the base of a crane): Detects and doesn’t effect range of detection.

We used “unofficial” Predator steps. It’s about 5 meters range (radius). Or 4 Pred-steps.

It detects through “solid” objects, walls, basically everything.
