Amirite? Jesus…I can’t get more than 3 kills as Pred now a days. Damn Fortnite kids need to learn about reinforcements instead of shitting their pants and quiting when they’re Last Man Standing
Predator: Quiting Grounds
most regular folk never fear the reaper in games. These must be extra special kids.
The way I see it
If my team of randoms let me die the first time it’s not worth sticking around
Claimable reward at the end of the match that you have to claim just like daily or weekly challenges, if you win its more, if you die, maybe enough that over time its worth it to stay till then end?
Trying to figure out how to keep people coming back, instead of punishing them and them just jump ship.
My 2 cents
Feeds into my other annoyance of today. I got disconnected playing pred, and just had a pred disconnect mid game on us (he was winning so I assume he disconnected)
Thankfully I’ve only had people quit if I killed them within the first couple of minutes as pred. Otherwise everyone seems to be a good sport and hangs around until the end.
Its because of how long it takes to reinforce and not even having a sure reinforce! They need to drastically reduce the time it takes for you to be able to call in reinforcements.
I would even say make it automatic and give each player 1 reinforcement if you expect people to sit in the game. Like as long as the team is alive, you get 1 more life and spawn where the team is. I don’t know but it pisses me off just as well, I play FT and losing players leaves the team at a big disadvantage.
Right now the time it takes for you to even CALL the reinforcements is longer then how much time you need to wait in que to get another game, so why stay in the game? Not only its longer but you don’t even know if those people in the game can reinforce you or know how to reinforce you… So you wait longer to play and you don’t even know for sure you will even play again…
Kinda hard to find that nowadays. Lol
It did used to be shorter, they nerfed it then made it a perk to make it shorter. What I never liked is that if somehow the predators find the radio they can trap it all around and then get shit on or he shows up places traps all around then when you spawn in you get shitted on. Sometimes the predator if he drops in as they spawn, I feel like it would play better if it was:
When you get reinforcement the radio THEN spawns, and when you get reinforced they respawning where they first dropped in and if the person that did the call dies he would get respawned there, it will mix things, have its advantages and disadvantages, and then nobody will get immediately shit, o.5 seconds of spawing in.
I know it was shorter and less people quitted. I remember that after they increased the time, people started quitting more often and we actually had forums posts about it… Then slowly they died off…
I don’t think that’s all of it, I’ve had 1 left with 2 in the lobby and escorted the guy to reinforcements only to have them quit before he got there. Honestly you are right in the fact that the reinforcement timer should go back to what it was, but I don’t think that will help as much as people think.
Since they nerfed traps it’s not nearly as bad. You can hear them a mile away and just go in guns blazing to disarm them. Also easy to do the same to the Predator by booby trapping pigs. Kill some in an area, 2 guys push the pred off, two spring the trap when he goes to heal. He’s locked in the eating animation and a sitting duck who’s health drops a lot faster than it recovers.
That’s not a bad idea. Honestly, this game needs more reward elements like this to promote playing to the end of the match, and just overall achievement.
Games like Battlefield and Call of Duty have ribbons and medals that can earned repeatedly for specific achievements.
Imagine getting a special reward at the end of the match if you did more than 1500 damage to the predator, or killed 30 AI, or inflicted 500 damage to the predator as the last man standing. This game desperately needs something to earn apart from XP.
I mean the only thing is that changed about them is that you can shoot them, which I wouldn’t call that a nerf I’d call that making more sense if you put a couple rounds into a trap it’s going break. The only trap we have is an emp mine. Me and seen others bait pigs before but it seems more and more are not falling for it.
I’d call it a nerf taking something that goes indestructible when it goes invisible to making it the opposite. Of course yeah it does make more sense there’s no argument there. Still, it’s not like it’s not easy to counter that play now so I really don’t see it as a big issue.
That’s not to say your idea is bad, I kinda dig it but, I’m okay with the way things are now too.
Right right. Really I’ll settle at this point is just spawn in the radio when it becomes available. Or hell I’ll take a air cannon lol, it does 0 dmg, 2 shots it has, and it just yeets enemy’s away.
That would be a better system.
