This is bad because basically all merch has to cease. Unless they can renegotiate with the Thomas brothers basically this game, books, comics, toys, and the movie which begins shooting soon, it’s all dead money.
No company working on the franchise is happy about this guaranteed since everybody has to fucking stop until they can renegotiate or Disney somehow lands this.
And it gets worse because apparently AVP is a separate copyright (not Alien and Predator it’s apparently it’s own thing) so lord knows what the landscape is gonna look like assuming it becomes a Jason Voorheese situation.
This is terrible news.

Yes, and the rights can always be purchased. Again it depends on the value Disney sees in the IP
