The long stab is that the L2 button? I never knew that doing the long stab can parry wtf
I mean, it’s also one of two innate crowd control functions you have. If you’re skilled enough to pull off a Leap Slam onto multiple FT members (through your skill or their stupidity…), then it should be pretty damning.
This is somewhat… hmm… odd for a Predator to do as well. If it is going to reveal itself by leaping into a group it better be to win at once. As an Alien that fights from the shadows jumping into a group of 4 heavily armed FT members is way outta character, so we can only assume its an all or nothing move.
So not that it really matters, I’m just pointing out in Predator 2, the predator does this multiple times. Like just hops in on like 6 dudes with 50. Cals and then does that shit again like 3 more times. So it’s within reason to say a predator might send on some fools. But beyond that cause that’s a movie and this is a game, I agree it does tons of damage and if they oof big time it can be a disgusting tool. Just in my personal experience, so this is admittedly anecdotal evidence, the animation lasts Long enough that doing this out in the open is a death sentence. But if a team is not on coms it’s stronger, but that goes for literally everything about the predator.
So, this is going to be SUPER unpopular, but I love Predator, Predators and Alien vs. Predator. I like The Predator. Don’t get me wrong, I think The Predator is a terrible movie… but ehh, it gave me some cheap thrills.
All that to say is that I hated Predator 2. I just lost interest so fast it was shocking. I hated the ‘Voodoo’, I hated the premise, I hated the whole thing :(. Which is odd because I love Dany Glover in Lethal Weapon… So if the Predator did that in that movie I totally missed it. I think I checked out after the couple was torn from their bed.
Yeahhh “the Predator” was awful and I hated it and I pretend it doesn’t exist cause wow, not only an awful film cinematically speaking, but also just shits all over the lore and what we love about Predator. I can respect your opinion about Predator 2, but I’d give it another shot, cause the “voodoo” in the movie is not actually a thing. There is a Jamaican gang who’s leader believes in voodoo but his followers in the film openly laugh at it and make it clear they are just in it for the power. At no point is any voodoo magic used lol

Well personally I loved the insult to Terrets and Down Syndrome people, along with the “Eat your pussy” jokes, so that really elevated the movie for me.
I usually play a classic movie in the background while playing, so I’ll give it a go!
Im a slammer, and good FTs can counter it. After the first couple slams they realise my preferred method of attacking and are more prepared. They dont huddle to close together as they would if facing a combi zerk, they keep los on others so they can immediately fire on me while im stunned.
This is when the rest of the kit comes into play, spear throws, nets, gaunlets and motion detectors, I then mix gameplay up to distract and disorganize them then drop more slams.
Most pred tactics have a counter, you just gotta be prepared to adapt.
Like a good team wont automatically rush to revive a teammate, and definitely dont all go at once. They don’t all crowd the same medpacks and ammo stashes.
A good FT knows the difference between huddling up and social distancing while maintaining LoS.

They can maybe nerf a little bit the damage deals by the roof slam but definitly not remove it. How can a predator deals agaist campers? It’s fine that people are not allowed to camper in a building waiting for objectives. Remember fireteam is way much stronger than predator even with roof slam. I agree instead that the animation cancel should be removed.
