One of the things I tend to struggle with is locating the Fireteam in the opening minutes of the match now that everyone immediately muds up, and I was wondering if where the Predator spawns is related to the Fireteam’s deployment location in some way. Is the Predator always on the opposite side of the map? Or is it just completely random? I hope it is related somehow because having some vague idea of where to head at the start of a match would be super useful.
Predator Spawn Location
Seems like you’re not enjoying having to hunt down your opponents in a game about hunting down your opponents. That process is kind’ve the whole point.
There’s a difference between ‘hunting’ and ‘stumbling around blindly for two minutes and hoping you bump into the enemy’.
Okay so to help the predator starts like 4-5 seconds before the fire team sooooo USE THAT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE in those 4-5 seconds you should be running to try and get to the middle of the map and be looking at the target isolation, once it cools down which should be in like 4-5 seconds you press it and you’ll know more or less where they are and you can follow it. Now if you can’t find them after that, I don’t know what to tell you bud good luck! Hope that helped
If you use the vision scan as soon as the match starts when its CD finishes, it will show you where they are. The pred is in the game while the FT is still in the chopper, so they dont have time to apply mud if you do it instantly.
But also as a general rule, you pretty much always start opposite them.
There are a range of abilities and items, such as the motion detector and bear traps, to help you do that effectively. If you’re stumbling around blindly for so long I think lack of skill starts to come into it.
It’s also worth pointing out that if you only play as the predator you’ll be at a disadvantage. Playing as both sides will give you an insight into the paths and actions your opponents are most likely to take, because you know about their objectives and locations.
If you missed the vision pulse at the start or forgot to do it, what you do then is run to the middle of the map, use the vision and wait to see sound/gunfire pulses, (you can also listen out for it outside vision). From middle of the maps you can pretty much hear any distant shooting anywhere, and then see it with the vision on to pinpoint.
So what i do in that situation is start heading to the main areas on the map but do it carfully. Sometimes you may be infront of them or behind them or even on the side. Just put thermal on and wait for gun fire you will see sound blips pop up. Then start heading in that direction. This should help just learn how to use the eqipment more or play with headphones and listen in.
I love the hunt, i love waiting above someone with a bear trap and then either a combi stick to the face or a plasma caster to the face. Or if you want Net gun them. Its all about waiting and using equipment quickly and effectivly so you can swoop in and claim the trophy. If your real want to be fancy you can net gun 3 in a row and long claim a FT.(suggest trapper perk)
