Predator WAR CLUB idea

Was doing a few rounds last night and I came up with the idea of getting hit with the war club (if not parried) should cause a dizzying effect, like when a fireteam member runs out of stamina. It slows down the fireteam member a bit. Causes gasping for air. Rattles your brain for a bit.

I feel Illfonic really needs to differentiate some of these weapons so Predator players can create different playstyles around them, versus just simply being an unlock on your way to the combistick.

Making it drain stamina or exhaust the person getting hit would probably make the rest of the combo actually able to connect so good job OP

Also more weapons that force prolonged exhausted states for future dlc pls. Give us a bear trap perk or anything

I got a headache from reading that.
Not because of anything bad in the post, but the brain rattle part. I imagined it and here I am. Head hurting lol.

Good thing I didn’t suggest a beheading effect then! :P

Lmao. But I agree with you. Somebody else mentioned it before, that weapons should have unique effects to give them all a different feel, and I’ve suggested different stances for each weapon, so we get different combos.

And it could also be each pred class attacks differently than the others too.

Its stealth kill is a straight up headsmash/beheading

Getting hit by a war club should me you kiss the ground while being dizzy, before getting up.
Have you seen how the two-handed hammer works in Warhammer Vermintide? That literally feels like a hammer when you hit some vermin with it. Still ,the Predator is massive and the War club is not some underdog stick, it should have higher impact on each hit.

I agree, but dizzy alone would seem an easier effect for them to incorporate rather quickly as an immediate fix since the stamina drained code is already there.

Look, I don’t wanna be a hater or anything, I want this game to god damn thrive at some point due to the Predator IP, but they couldn’t launch a game with working matchmaking and a promised cross-play, come on. It’s gonna take, and I can’t stress this enough, a lot of time.

Yeah… maybe. But maybe we’re talking apples and oranges. In my limited understanding, launching the stamina drain effect after a war club blow, an already tested mechanic, is easy compared to eradicating all the bugs.

What is the rule in video game development? The last 10% of your game takes 90% of your time.
