Predator...

I win most of my games. Whether I play the fireteam or the Predator. But when I play the fireteam, I feel more powerful. I chase down the Pred. It seems easy. Sure every once in a while I’ll get shredded, but it’s usually more that my team was bad and not that the Pred was good.

When I play the Predator, I usually win. BUT…it’s a challenge. I’m constantly on my heels. I usually have to use both my heals and eat a pig. I have to make use of every tool I have. Plan every engagement. Flank, chip away, reposition. It’s really hard, and while I like a challenge…I still want the Predator to be stronger.

Right now the fireteam can bully the Predator. They can chase him down. Spot him at range. Snipe him. Chip his health before he can even get in position. They can keep up with him on foot. Parry is such junk. Beyond parry there are other mechanics that can end a melee rush.

I know there are many who will disagree (looking at you UK_Spawn) but I just think he still needs to be tougher. Maybe it’s not a health or damage buff. Maybe it’s something else. But he still feels like the hunted and not the hunter.

I think the issue is mostly the capabilities of the FT being over the top more than the Predator needing a buff

You see, the people that say they win every match as predator and claim they’re God tier, the people that like to blow their own trumpet. Don’t look at HOW they win as predator. What you said is correct. You can win matches as predator but it’s a hell of a lot harder and you have to bust your ass off to do it. Yet with fireteam you don’t even have to break a sweat because of the glaring advantages they have. High damage weapons, parry, overpowered knife, reinforcements etc. So while yes it is possible to win as predator, that doesn’t change the fact that he is much weaker compared to the fireteam and that’s the reason most people can’t get anything done with him. And simply put, it’s not balanced if most people are struggling as predator.

Basically in short, you have to do so much as predator to win yet so little as fireteam to win and that’s unbalanced.

Well… when I wanna PLAY as FT im just having fun. And usually win, if my team is not dumb. But if I wanna win im just picking barret and spas 15, auto shotgun. Enough said. I can literally wipe the predator on my own, especially if I see him first. That’s ridiculous, each time I play predator it is always a skill challenge, especially again premade team.

I really dont disagree to be fair. i just think if you make it even stronger there are those that are saying “pred is OP, bulletproof and wipes our squad in seconds” - its going to be even worse for them. I know they need ti GIT GUDDER but pub randos its really hard to coordinate.

All i mean is its hard to get it right for everyone.

most of my issue with playing predator is its clunky as fuck and glitchy as fuck and you are fighting the game as much as you are fighting the enemy.

Stuck on terrain, shots not going on crosshair, projectiles colliding with objects, stamina bugging out meaning you cant leap/sprint away and just end up casually jogging away needing to swipe then wait.

Spot spamming guessing, audio too directional for its own good. etc

Agree. Fireteam needs tools stripped away. Spotting, ease of loadout options, and parries stunning predator need to be gone.

Will be funner for Fireteams I think to have to work harder.

I think a majority of Predator players are not you. Most never try and split the group, they don’t use traps or decoys, they rush in when they think people are distracted even though they have line of sight to at least one other FT member. They over commit more often than not and for some reason they always go for the kill and claim while they are getting lit up. I’m baffled at why they do that but it happens more often than not.

It seems as if nearly every Pred player has no patience and no sense of awareness. I can see why they feel weak because they are trying to tank damage from the FT just to claim. I haven’t played the Pred a ton but I was able to drop a guy and kill him from range, I let the FT move on before I claimed and then went after another guy and so on.

Yeah, I think many of the issues people run into with the Pred is playstyle and bugs/glitches. However there are definitely moments where I’m like, “Ok, well, what the hell am I gonna do because I can’t sneak up on these guys, I can’t flank them, they spot me before I even get close so I have very few opportunities to snipe with the caster, and melee definitely isn’t an option and oh look they’re calling the chopper after 3 minutes of gameplay…ok well fuck me…lol”

some people just have never experienced this and wont so much if they turn off crossplay and play on PS4 they are probably not seeing it at all.

I dont see it much either but when you do, you have to accept its not actually possible to compete.

nearly all my games though are fine… i think maybe just leave it, but its also no fun for those fireteams to play the game with no competition or threat… its not a predator experience.

Small tweaks like slowing down the fireteam and extending the missions so the Pred doesn’t feel so much pressure to rush his attack, lessening the pinpoint accuracy of the noises the Pred makes, and putting limits on spotting would probably help. The Pred needs to be able to stalk a little more. The opportunities are there I think…but with some teams it can be near impossible to find them.

Also fixing the glitches and bugs, tightening the controls, etc would probably help.

I think that the mission time has to go up and the FT speed has to come down some.

I’d also like to see the Pred get more melee options like kicks and slaps that knock people down. Maybe a grab option to where a Pred can grab a downed FT person and run off with them.

Now I really like that lol. Might be a little OP, but could be balanced by slowing his movement and making him unable to leap away. Also the human could start screaming wildly to alert his team he’s being kidnapped! Haha! Actually I LOVE THIS.

Said this in multiple threads. And feel it just needs to happen…
FT consits of one of each class… Meaning.
Assult: machine guns and pistols
Support: LMG’s and shotguns
Scout: SMG’s and pistols
Recon: snipers and Smg’s…
That’s JUST MY OPINION.

perry needs to use up more stamina. Also stamina needs a slower recharge rate.

And spotting,… well fuck spotting.
