Look even if the first movie wasn’t a classic and used to teach scriptwriters how to focus the plot down to a single line. A line that every beat hits on. It would still be an A+ script, even the bad jokes at the beginning set you’re expectations low purposely. Allowing most of the audience to enjoy the one liners Arnold spouts.
Name a scene that is shoehorned in?
That doesn’t serve the plot in some way. Doesn’t increase the tension.
Predators by comparison is filled with them.
- Pred Hounds, and ridiculous amounts of ammo being shot at them.
- Crucified, solely being there to have a Pred fight.
- A serial killer with a scalpel as prey?!
- Lawrence Fishburne’s character existing only to info dump and be crazy.
I enjoy it, but in no way do I think it’s anything but a popcorn movie.

A sequel was planned. And you can’t do math. 40+40= 80 127-80=47. The movie brought in roughly 47 million which is not good. YOU are just ignoring facts
