Predators Still Need Buffs

So then full roof slam damage was fine and fair right?
So was ice skating?

And all of the people who complained about previous pred weapon damage, were all cry babies who should have not said shit?
Just accepted it?

I’m not sure what you were trying to imply.

My first post in this topic was suggesting that PS4’s are disadvantaged vs PC’s.
I’ve never suggested otherwise. I’ve always acknowledged that PS4 players (primarily FT players) have a rough time in this game, which is why I’m also generally against Pred buffs.

Of course Mouse/Keyboard has an advantage over a Controller when it comes to First Person Shooters. Anyone who thinks it’s efficient and reasonable to aim with a controller is downright insane.

But I would also never suggest that one group of players should be forced to play with non-native technology for their platform, simply because their native controlling devices are better suited to a particular game type.

It would be like forcing console players to play fighting games with a mouse & keyboard instead of a controller.
Some games are just suited to a particular controller type. “Aiming” games clearly prefer the precision of a mouse.

The existence of CrossPlay is good for the population of the community. But the Publisher/Devs obviously realised that the desire to play in this environment may be a matter of preference, so they provided an option to turn it off.

People who play games with disabilities don’t go around demanding everyone else deliberately handicap themselves to ‘get on their level’. They just suck it up and deal with it. It’s about time console players did the same.

For what it’s worth, if they gave controllers some ridiculous level of aim assist tomorrow, to the point where they had a greater advantage than Keyboard/Mouse, I still wouldn’t use a controller.
I play with a Keyboard/Mouse because it’s what I know, not specifically because it gives me an advantage.

You guys keep saying mouse and key makes you better and you’re stupid for thinking otherwise.

So then, theres no aspect of skill, and the only reason your good or can do anything, is because of your gear.
Your success rate, with your logic, has nothing to do with you.

That’s what your logic and comment states.

Which is fucking retarded.

A good player, or someone who trains and pushes them selves will be good no matter what they use.

A bad player, unless they intensely practice and make a serious effort to improve, will play bad no matter what.

You’re totally wrong.

The human ability can only be improved to a certain amount.

There is a degree of skill, and there is the tools you use to apply or enhance your skill.

If you take two professional race car drivers, of identical skill, and stick them in two completely different vehicles, one in a high level race car, the other in a 40 year old bomb, who do you think is going to win the race?

I’ve NEVER SAID all console players are bad players or all PC players are good players.
There are many console players who have far far better skills and experience than PC players, and will perform better than certain PC players, despite the platform\control difference.
But given equal skills the deciding factor will always be the tool-set available to that player.

Due to the nature of PC gaming, and the access to a keyboard & mouse, on average PC players will perform better than console players.
Console players by their demographic also tend to be more casual than PC players.

I never complained.

I don’t think k&m is better. I’m a firm believer that “to each its own”. I play with a controller whenever I want. I know a lot of great players that play with a controller. I am just saying is a matter of preference and I don’t consider either to be superior. The only OP here is the player.

I play fighting games with chicken nuggets.

Look I’m going off you’re comment where you say anyone who thinks aiming with a controller is efficient and reasonable is insane.

I’m not insane motherfucker, it’s not hard.
I get aiming with a mouse is better, though movement with a keyboard sounds like a nightmare.

Horrible example btw.
That’s not comparing pc and current consoles, that’s more comparing pc to like an Atari.

This fucking elitist attitude is why so many people hate pc players. If its pc, it’s better.

Like fuck off with that shit.

Video games are completely different from everything in the sense that, anyone can beat any game.
Hard work actually pays off in games, unlike real life.

A doctor and a musician csnt do each others jobs, and will probably never be able too.

But both could get good at any single game.
Except for very few games, that’s how games are designed. For everyone to be able to beat them.
For everyone to have a chance.

The fact that you cant see that makes me question how good a gamer you are.

Being good at one genre doesnt prove much either.

You know, you seem cool sometimes, yet other times like an asshole.

Back when full roof slam and ice skate was a thing, I mainly played pred.
And even back then I thought roof slam was too much.
I only used it on ppl who were hiding in glitch spots, like back water.

I get what you’re saying about how games used to be.
But shits different now.

Devs can fk up thinking something will be fair or balanced, as an oversight.

It really only applies to pvp. There has to be fair balance, otherwise shit gets fucking extremely retarded like how shitty of a state smite is right now.

As for gear, I mean I agree and been saying that from the start. Its honestly just preference.

I understand mouse helps. I get it.
But I dont see it making a shitty player better than a good player who practices.

If aiming with a mouse is better then it’s also more efficient.
Efficiency is what works best in the relevant situation. In regards to aiming, Mouse > Controller. Thus it’s more efficient.

What elitist attitude? I didn’t say PC is better. I said Mouse & Keyboard is better for First Person Shooters. That’s not elitist, it’s fact. If Console players had readily available and supported access to Mouse & Keyboard, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Hard work doesn’t pay off in real life? What the actual f*ck?

This is wrong too. The doctor is a doctor, because he trained to be a doctor
The musician is a musician, because that’s the skill they practiced.
The exact same applies to video games. Which is where we agree.

But like a Doctor requires his surgical instruments and medical equipment, and like a musician requires access to their particular musical instrument, gamers require access to the tools they use to play their game.
If those tools are not equal in nature, they cannot all reach the same outcome.

You seem to be angry at me for supporting the view point that console players are at a disadvantage, due to no fault of their own. You want to be mad at me for being a PC player even though I’m acknowledging what so many console players continue to complain about here.

A bad player is a bad player. A good player is a good player.

But two equal players, with different toolsets, will get different outcomes.

If you take the best of the best from the console player base, and match them against the best of the best from the PC player base, the console players simply won’t win (in any First Person Shooter). And it has nothing to do with their personal ability

I really want to just give a nice sweet shot answer but its extremely hard to.

It would depend on the player.

Because if that wasnt true, pc players would never lose to console.
And guess what, they do.

I’ve beaten pc players, so have others, in other games as well.

To say that console players wouldnt win simply because of the hardware is an insult.
You’re completely writing them off and ignoring any skill or effort they’ve put in.

And you just sound like an elitist by saying that.

As for real life.

Hardwork isnt going to guarantee success.
But in games it does.

Cause if hard work really paid off, everyone would be able to reach a state of wealth, get rich.

And some people no matter how hard they work, will never reach that state.

Of course, that doesnt apply to every thing, in a few rare cases, hard work does pay off.
But not often.

Tho I guess it’s a matter of perception what paying off is.

In no other game for pc you are forced to play with a controller

Tell that to Dr. Phil.

Dithered lens is good enough I’ve played from the beginning too and all this sounds like total BS

You’re entitled to your opinion, but it’s just that an opinion. Why leave a comment if it doesn’t add to the conversation?

The post was made because based on playing the game since trial both as FT and as the Predator these are the the types of changes I think make sense — especially in the shadow of FT gear upgrades that will include:

  • Anti-Cloaking Grenade: Cloak shimmer is already too visible, now this device will make a weak cloak system more useless

  • UAV Scanner: Again, a UAV device will be used for surveillance and if Predator’s cloak can be seen from across the map while moving, this will render the cloak totally useless

Except for staying cloaked during melee, none of these sound that bad. I’m not too sure about the lazer visibility request, but idk.

These seem reasonable?

Nerf FT

Two things of which none of us know anything about the predator is fine for now just because I don’t agree with you without some long diatribe doesnt mean my opinion doesnt count fucking dickhead

You’re the dickhead that comes into the thread claiming the OP is bullshit fuckface, get off your high-horse.
