Because there isn’t much love for the predators as writers haven’t given preds enough competence, or just outright kill preds while, humans in both alien & predator series stay alive way longer than any yautja or xenomorph would be great to have a clan of predators actually be competent than just die off.

If I could fix Predator, this would be my movie idea
Predators are hunting a giant space creature on a alien world (shut up I know Preds are aliens and saying theyre on a alien world is redundant but I’m story telling shush) they take it down and leave the final kill for the new blood and he cuts the creatures head off and picks it up and roars, years later a human soldier is running and all you can hear is his breathing and something else till the soldier reaches a cliff and turns around to look in the forest and then!….AGH! Story block sorry 😐

True but one could argue that they could adapt another race’s tech into their own like how the amegi story explained how the yautja gained their tech.

Their tech doesn’t really suffer in movies at least. It’s their decision making that is perilous.
I suppose humans can mud up, toss decoys and have PRED reveal it’s positions by using PC (decision making) and then blast it once they know where it is. Defeated by mud and rock/stick. That’s how Naru will win.
The only way preds are going to get any love is if A) Disney makes one a lone protector of some child or B) makes one a Disney princess. Without these two they will always be relegated to progressively edgier cannon fodder for the next human protag.

If this is about the Boba Death Battle, Predator was deliberately nerfed to give Boba a pity win. A true Composite Predator that didn’t have cherry picking in the way would have had demolished Boba. DB literally fell for the Pred 2 Goof where CH has Thermal without the mask, and you can tell because they didn’t use footage from The Predator.
However, if you just used a specific Predator from most movies or media, they’re going to lose because they just aren’t that powerful compared to what a lot of other media has characters in fiction do.

I just watched that, kind of wired that they used the strongest feats from legends Boba but didn’t give the pred it’s strongest tech or armor. Like it’s fine if you want to find the most obscure thing for a character to prove their strength but at least do it for both. If I’m not mistaken preds like the Hydra and Blaze pred have extremely resilient full body armor with plasma casters that are hotter than the core of the sun which are in the game that they referenced for the plasma scythe.

I would be for this except they’d just turn the child into the main character and dress them up as a pred again & I can’t take anymore pred comic cosplay.

Spear Masters have Phoenix Armor that gives them practical invulnerability to Fire, Plasma and Radiation.
Vanguards would have also had the Killscreen Generator that would have vaporized anything Boba threw at Pred.
Predator should have had Sonic Mines that would have locked up Boba’s entire nervous system which blasts with sound waves and multiple spectrums of light.
Even going by Death Battle’ stupid conditions, Predator should have won here but the Disc didn’t go for the torso, instead it just went for the arm.

And that’s not even including anime characters.
Preds all around are basic as hell.
Like an end game XCOM squad could wipe the floor with a pred. I get people like preds, but people overhype/overestimate them way too much.
They’re still pretty cool, dont get me wrong.
But idk why people think they’re more powerful than they are.
Like I love legend of zelda. Death battle had one of Link vs Cloud. They had link win which was bullshit the way they had it play out, like link ain’t beating cloud, and despite me being such a huge zelda fan, I can admit that.
Overall they aren’t this mega powerful unstoppable creature that people make them out to be. They’re essentially exotic hunters whose entire society decided this was the way to live. My issue is that they cherry pick certain info to make one stronger than the other. It’s fine if you want to use the strongest possible thing this character did in an obscure comic but at least be consistent with your logic and do the same for the other.
I’m interested to see how the next one will play out. One has anime and memes and the other has lore descriptions that don’t match the gameplay.

I’ve argued that many times and there are Predators that are stronger then what Death Battle let on. One pick I would have chosen was either Prince or Big Mama. Both are good characters to face Boba Fett and they are technically not canon like Legends Boba so this would have made a much more even fight.

Predators can compete with other series and some they could win. However Predator to the whole media have purposely made the character the universal punching bag where they can go against characters and always expect to lose because that’s how media portrays them. That’s why we need a Predator win more often, to show they aren’t just a stand in for anti-climactic ensign where they lose from some bs.
Sure there are such things as lucky wins but at some points it gets out of hands and becomes really stupid from the losses.
