I think AvPR wouldâve benefitted from multiple preds tbh. it also means they have to nerf tf out of aliens if theres 1 pred in the film.
one guy with a whip just wasnt going to cut it. buddy system. not that we ever see preds help eachother but hell Predators even had 3 and those were just spec ops guys not fighting an apocalypse event.
Movie was just lazy.
Time to enter the multiverse and find a satisfactory outcome

He would be an awesome addition.
Aside from not being sure how it could work with the framework of the maps (doorways) given his size. I suppose a good balance for him would be increased damage and a lot less gear slots to balance him out with the rest of the line up so heâs not an invincible tank.

He wouldnât need perk or gear points imho (maybe gear I guess) since most of his tech is built into his body, so it should be passive buffs. Like the thermal vision he has without helmet or cloaking or the skin hardening so no need for armor like the regular predators have etc⌠He would need skills added though like the skin hardening and so forthâŚ

How was he poorly executed besides that he was purely CGI?
As a predator itself heâs the coolest one out there, an absolute power beast with minimal weaknesses, so cool to see that he doesnât need all that outside tech to do predator âstuffâ and with the genetic upgrades and all the implants heâs almost perfect. I love the lore of Yautja trying to improve themselves like this. Upgrade Predator is what a true predator should be.
The poor execution is beacuse a âgenetically modified Predatorâ is a concept the opens door to a LOT of possibilities,
and yet what do we got? An damn âHulk Predatorâ, just a normal yautja but bigger an stronger with the dullest design possible.
The lack of ideas (or the ntention of thinking them) is evident and is bad.
If you think that this is how a Predator should be, you really didnât get the point of the character/creature:
Predator is a great concept beacuse of his dualism between alien technlogy and tribalism, between him being superior to his prey, but also on the same level of it, risking his life too for the thrill of the hunt.
Assassin/Upgraded is just a fu*king giant alien monster that could have come out from any trash movie with no ideas or budget. Big, strong, gray and overpower.
I canât really get how could someone love that thing in the Predator universe.

the point is that the original Predator character is a marriage between a real good character design by Stan Winston (the best in the character design work) and a total cool idea⌠but after years of movies and expanded universe something goes for the better, and something goes for the worst⌠i Really like the various preds, but AVP was alredy a bad writing when the trio was stupid and weak AF⌠REQUIEM has wolf but is an orrible movie, bad written and poorly maked⌠THE PREDATOR was at the end of the road of decline⌠they ruined the mistery behind one of the best alien species of the sci fi universe⌠Alien is going bad too but better than predator, terminator became ugly AF⌠PREDATORS is not so bad⌠not gold but ten way better than AVP2 and THE PREDATOR.

The predator is non-Canon yet alien & predator are gonna be merged thanks to Disney.

I wouldnât say having a hardening skin, built in thermal vision and cloak etc is the dullest design, itâs incredibly cool how they improved the predator so he wouldnât have to rely on outdated tech. Thatâs called EVOLUTION, as you know Yautjaâs history, they did evolve since that enslavement by that other powerful raceâŚ

Because he has the best collected genes from others races and implanted tech, how is that not cool, that is what I donât understand? And him being a âHulkâ unstoppable monster is even scarier than the normal preds stalk / hunt, knowing that when you see this guy, there is NO winning (how he lost in the movie was the biggest BS and the only gripe for me really).
Whyâs AvP1 bad? Could you please explain a bit more in detail what exactly in the script is so bad about that particular movie?
Why did you expect 3 unblooded predators to be any good? They went to get blooded and they failed, they sucked, not all predators are good at what they do just like humans.
Thatâs what I loved about the movies and stuff, finding out more about the Yautja, the mystery was honestly annoying, not knowing anything about them, where they come from, how their society and science works etc⌠Knowing and seeing that makes it a lot more interesting⌠Otherwise itâs just another alien slaughtering others for whatever the heck reason if you donât know the infoâŚ
Predator and Alien universes belong to be married, I donât see a problem with that.
