Has the damage of the axe been changed? Now, to put a bear trapped assault down, I need one heavy attack and 3 fast ones. This is 15+100+35+49+35=234hp according to old stats. For Dutch’87 I need 15+100+100+35=250hp. Looks like heavy attack has decreased. I’d appreciate it if you check.

Predator damage is a bit more complicated than FT because is not hitscan, but the axe I see was definitely nerfed.

Here’s the game files values (do not necessarily represent in-game damage) from v2.49
Melee 1 = 50
Melee 2 = 70
Heavy = 100

And here’s the data from v2.50
Melee 1 = 35
Melee 2 = 55
Heavy = 60

Nice, I can stop calling the axe a bitch weapon. Its actually decently fair now, save for that heavy hitbox.

It was never bitch weapon, it costs stamina in exchange for alt attack and being damaged by good fireteam players. In fact (unless Fireteam is really bad or mediocre) all types of melee weapons are completely useless.

Nah bro, it was a bitch weapon. It was a crutch for lazy and unskilled Preds to get cheap and easy kills due to the damage exploit. Yes, there are ways to counter it, but even very good players fell to the axe if it hit. I’ve seen Sam go down and get claimed from it, and we call him the best. Apparently there’s also a tracking exploit that can be triggered too, so it’ll always hit no matter what you do.

They are only easy kills if fireteam sucks, in reality melee vs fireteam is always death sentence for predator. No weapon for predator is bitch weapon. Sam went down because he very likely was not playing with full party of deathsquad, yeah it happens, I saw him too. Even with tracker exploit, in full death squad pred stands no chance.

Against a decent team (premade or not) yes
Against 1 good FT player with 3 potatoes, only if it engages any other player while the good FT can aim and shoot.

I’ve died too many times to 5 year olds using the axe because their stupid style of playing video games will trigger the tracking exploit.

I’m glad it no longer is a 2 hit down weapon. Though there are some builds that will still down you in 2 hits

Mercenary seems to be the best assault rifle damage wise. And it has the most linear damage compared to all others.

That’s exactly what I was saying. But 4 pre-made it’s best to be in range distance.

Mercenary and Hammerhead were always best at range and they had the underbarrel.

By nerfing the close range on the base Assault rifles, mercenary and hammerhead are unquestionably top choice for Assault rifles.

I can confirm from in game testing that the Heavy Axe Attack was nerfed to 60 Damage.

That definitely makes it fair, if not possibly over nerfed, but time will tell.

With Amazon Ghost, the Heavy Attack can still inflict 97.68 damage with the bleed factored in.
