Personally, I would have taken the Samurai Predator over this design but I get the idea he was trying to go for.

My thoughts, too. I would love to see predators hunting various warrior cultures throughout time, but it would be so easy for these producers to make a lot of mistakes in representation. I’m not sure they could handle it.
