Understandable, even making a simple theory as this would ultimately get me crucified by the fandom like “how dare you bring us hope” kinda thing.

I just want a good Predator movie we can all enjoy and judging from what has been given it’s ultimately promising

Lol idk if I’d say everyone crucified you, but have been around long enough to know when something is too good to be true but we can all agree on wanting a good predator movie so hopefully this ones it and then we’ll all be talking about it and how badass it was. A lot of us are jus holding off in case its not good to avoid more disappointment. Of be lying if i said i wasn’t excited at all but cautiously excited lol

Really? Im in Texas otherwise I’d be all in to see it at an event. A friend of mine was gonna see if theirs any special screenings here, but nothing announced yet. I still remember when predators and AvP came out and me and my boys went to see it in theatres and id wanna do that for this one as well.

I’m already unhappy with how they changed the face soo much (it seems from the screenshot anyway). There’s 0 good reason to deviate so much from the original… Even if this pred is from a different part of the planet, or even galaxy, the predator design (Stan Winston) has always been iconic in pop culture, and recognizable even to people who have never seen the movies… I’ll have to wait and see it without the mask to make a final judgement, but it already looks like this one is going to be just “another variant that nobody cares about”.

Its perfect as is. It builds culture and realism. We have tons of diffrent helmets in our world for use in war. Right now diffrent countries and diffrent units wear diffrent helmets. And diffrent times used diffrent types and had diffrent designs depending on where you lived, greek helmets and spartans were very iconic, but go back to iron age with the full plated armour and helmets and those are iconic aswell. Having diffrent helmets for diffrent times and slight variantions for diffrent predators during same time is good. Makes it realistic. Some “countries” in the land of the Yautja might use the JH mask whilst another “country” would use CH for example. And if we go back in time maybe this design for Prey was really normal for the “country” that yautja came from. Ya’ll get what im saying😎

It has been stated that he is another subspecies of Yautja from another hemisphere on Yautja Prime by either the Director or Producer.
