Honestly not a big fan of the Predator’s face, but he was smart up until that final fight, then again, another Pred movie underestimating the enemy, I give it a 7.5/10 but it is rewatchable

I agree, but at least the rest of the predators design was cool, and I’m not sure I like the face.

Relied too much on CG, and looked weird to me, like Mr. Black with bigger mandibles and smooshed up a bit. I would have preferred a traditional Yautja head on him, with some minor alterations.

Same, and in my opinion the assassin predator head looks better than feral.

First half is better than the second.
I’m not a fan of the predator taunting. Not that he does it, but how he does it.
He taunts by just standing there. You can have some one taunt, and have good choreography.
Naru isn’t the best character ever made but she’s also far from SJW. At most she suffers protagonism. To further support this is the fact that her brother literally overshadowed her at everything. That’s even why he died lol. She won because she’s weaker.
Now to the predator. I don’t mind the face. It’s clearly a different kind like the supers so they can have creative liberty.
I also like the idea behind the battles. He actually takes hits. It’s a good balance between overwhelming force and strong humans.
Seriously humans are supposed to be an extreme threat yet every predator had to die by overconfidence.
This film sets why humans are hunted in the first place, were not defenseless. Granted the film doesn’t handle the pred dying well either but that’s It’s own issues.
Naru going against the line of woman I’m the early half was a very good telegraph of story without words, it’s not a lecture like SJW stories. Overall it does It’s themes of equality well. In fact I forgot it was the thing until the end when the point is tried up. And that’s a good thing because the story was allowed to progress while keeping the theme in the background.
And this film constantly sets up it’s own points from the bog, to the flower, to Naru getting better (which to note was faster than a normal person, but on par with protagonism rather than SJW writing)
TLDR the film has both amazing choreography and shit choreography.
The CGI ranges from amazing to mediocre, the former far more often.
The story is good is but nothing special
Now to note on the production team. It’s clear they know how to write a predator, at least by my metric (for anyone who thinks the predator was shit) but they clearly ran out of their creative juices by the end.
Seriously the final scene where the pred dies could of been solved simply by making it faster paced so the pred couldn’t react.

Yes, Naru was in a do it yourself guillotine and she ripped off Feral’s mandible and stabbed him with it.

I think Feral lost his arm too early in that fight. It should have been longer with more back and forth hand to hand. And the ending, that was such a derp moment for me…like, he KNOWS that bolt is coming for him. He’s just standing there tilting his head like, “huh? Whassat?” instead of ducking down or something. I know he’s in the bog, but come on man.

Ya, the ending fight has SOME good things but overall it’s bad. But of course that one bad ending doesn’t ruin the film.

Definitely better with the mask I’ll give.
The face was made with the mask in mind and that’s essential for the look

I would’ve prefers if the mask stayed on during the final fight so I wouldn’t have to look at him.
