Prey predator
Okay so! I kinda enjoyed it, not as much as the original (that was a bold claim to make). However I do find enjoyment on par with Predator 2 or Predators, I like how we had more Predator screen time then usual with Feral hunting and how he acted towards certain situations. Naru was a good character in my opinion, during the beginning she try’s to be better and try’s to prove herself but it fails (and I’m okay with that because it felt like they where building her character up).
I can say that in my opinion the highlights of the movies where the Bear scene & the Furr Trappers vs. Feral scene. Near the end however I felt like they dropped the ball, Feral just somehow losing all his brain cells once his mask comes off / The pistols rebooted origins / and the leading to another movie. I will say however that Adoline looked exactly like his comicbook counter part.
As for my thoughts on Feral, I FUCKING CALLED THAT SHIT! That mf looks like a Hybrid of a Super Predator and something else (or it’s a reimagining of the Super Predator). Feral owned every part of his scene from beginning to near the end, he definitely deserves a spot as one of the best on screens for sure.

This movie just proves that predators really are just the yuppies who hunt big game on safari to get away from their desk job.

Relied on an auto aim weapon that he didn’t fully understand how to operate. A ‘skilled’ hunter would understand his auto aim dart gun thing wouldn’t work without his mask. Seems like this was just his stag party that his friend setup for him that went horribly wrong.
I’m also going to say this applies to all the predators none of them seemed particularly skilled just a bunch of adrenaline junkies that get their kicks from mass murder. Wolf is maybe the only exception.
I also think this aspect of predators doesn’t detract from the movies.
I believe most of the Yatja we see in movies aren’t “skilled” hunters, but Young Bloods that need to prove themselves, therefore, highly unexperienced compared to other Yautja’s who are deployed to “clean up the mess”, such as Wolf.
Even in the AvP games, you play a “Young Blood” character

From what I recall of the interviews for this movie Feral is like 300 years old, about the same as City Hunter who is the Pred equivelent of a 17 year old, and this is his first Hunt on Earth: something you’re not allowed to do unless you’ve killed a Xenomorph beforehand because Humans are generally considered more crafty & cunning, although it should be noted that City got to skip that requirement because he was basically begging Greyback to take him to Earth after watching Jungle’s recordings of the events of P1: and Greyback is sorta like an adoptive dad to the Lost Tribe. A comparison could be made that Greyback & the Lost Tribe are like Splinter & the Turtles.
That sounds like bad fan fiction.

Design?
FX quality is from top shelf. Face and body posture design? I honestly think they were trying to depict a Hish rather than a Yautja. He looks completely different to what we know as Yautja
Skill / Hunting technique ?
I though City Hunter was savage after that massacre of obese civilians in subway… This Feral motherfucker is now my favourite Predator…

Except it still shot straight, it just curves afterwards. It’s a bit iffy but plenty applicable in a desperate situation.
