Yeah because I think having an issue with an alien creature being able to manipulate & absorb electricity is a stupid issue to have. Comes off as “I’m too good for this made up nonsense.”
Prey review
my issue was why ppl hate on a female warrior trained in hand to hand combat and trained how to survive in the wild that is more capable of beating a pred than an over the hill city cop lol
you took 1 line out of my whole argument, taking it out of context to try and defend it when that was not my sole argument.i was just pointing out the ludacris things that happen in Pred 2 that other ppl overlook because of their hate for a female lead in a predator movie
And I have zero issue with any of what happens in Prey. Hell I already pointed out in another thread that modern soldiers are not trained to fight or win in CQC scenarios the way ancient warriors are. The only ones who would have a shot at beating something like a Predator in a melee fight would be people who were in the SAS or Delta Force. Whereas say a Gaelic Warrior, a Spartan or even Apache could very easily outclass a Predator in martial warfare.
so to answer your question, i was not taking issue with you. it was you taking issue with me
Pred standing there in P2 going OOAAAAAAUUUGHHHH while he spun a disc in his abdomen for 3 min was as bad as Naru’s anime fight, but that movie is atleast campy from start to finish and divisive for the same reason. The camp is what filters people.
Only compelling final fights in the franchise was Arnie being bullied and the pianist swiftly bashing on a very disoriented pred that had just been blown up and hit by a 50 cal.
once you have a person standing there ducking and dodging the pred for extended periods of time 1v1 while it moves in slow motion like a power rangers villain it just turns into capeshit. The point of having a villain that hunts action movie tropes is to avoid those action movie tropes not have people sliding between the preds legs dancing all over it.
All da characters sucked lol
All them were 1 dimensional
I didn’t feel attached
