if you don’t understand the language is not the point. No matter what language someone speaks, you can see the sound waves in termal view in the game. There are players who listen to music in the background and continuously send sound waves which can be easily seen by the Predator. I don’t think they know that at all…
When I see or hear someone in the Lobby who listen loud Music in his room, Iam think hopefully he don´t turn it off when we are ingame :D
We mostly use party chat because the sound quality of in game chat is very poor.

But for real, listen for gun fire and the in-game yelling (especially when the FT has a lady. They yell all dialogue for some reason) when they do many things.

Also when one of them dies they can still communicate with the rest of the team, which the game doesnt normally allow.
About the report button though… how would you know they use private chat if you cannot hear them in the first place?
they do not. they associate sounds with behavior, just like a dogs understand sit, stay, go. doesn’t mean they understand the meaning of a sentence word by word
