technically, yes!
Private chat=Cheating FT
so letâs give even more options for pred to win and leave FT with only two⌠sureâŚ
Iâm not talking about another 15 min match.
But hey, was just a thought, no matter how shitty it wasâŚ
BAT ITS AD(static) THEE RE(static) HOUGH COID YOO CUMPLANE
Yes and the female fireteam members like to yell extra loud when muddin up xD
Hey they like to tell everyone that theyâre getting a spa day :p
Elder told Harrigan to take the flintlock pistol. Go watch the movie bud.
Yes. They are truly inferior to their male counterparts.
Can confirm that preds can understand and speak a human language if they choose to learn it.
Elder mimicked a line he heard when the pistol was given to him - go read the canon comic books bud ;-)
Mimic = Learn?
Learn the sound, maybe even associate it whit a given situation - not necessary understand the meaning â like in the Einstein parrot clip above.
Unfortunately, intelligence wouldnât matter. To understand language in the century they visit, they would have to be studying human language constantly. Little time for hunting if youâre an extra terrestrial linguist. Iâm sure understanding key words like âhelpâ or inferring the meaning of a phrase on the fly would be part of preparation and hunting, but they wouldnât be fluent or up to date on the most recent slang.
But Predators even within Predator Canon have the ability and capability to learn English in a way like you or I if they know what to say and when to say it. Itâs just that this learning of a language is mostly used within the context of fear tactics to spook a person with a dead doodâs voice. Within the context of the hunt. If Greyback can use this in a different context than Jungle or City Hunter hunting, then they understand what to say and when to say it.
Even Classic Pred from Predators knew what Royce was saying without the need of a Bio-Mask. Of course the gesturing helped, but regardless he knew that he was going to be cut down anyway.
And with Pred tech not even being theirs by default, they have adapted a language with the tech as their own, having to learn more than just clicks and grunts.
Even stuff in The Predator directly assists with this.
Yes, I know what you are reffering to here, and you are right, but tbh, all of the source material only hints that they have a good understanding of whatâs going on - not understanding of the language itself. Nowhere will you see Yautjas chating to humans in any earth language.
DUDE! Donât, just donât
Perhaps not understanding to the point of complete free range to speak actual English, but to learn in that they understand what those words all mean.
Idk if this actually happened that way or not, but I think in the Rage War Books Preds legit chat up with Humans, but thatâs crossover area.
But itâs Canon bro. :)
IS IT FUCK ;-P
Highly unlikely - actually, its impossible. Hear me out.
You and I are probably from two different courtiers. In fact, those forums are populated with ppl from all over the globe. Yet we all understand each other, usually with help of English. But how can we translate our thoughts (original in our native language) to another language and make it understandable for other ppl that donât speak our native? Reason that is possible is simple â in essence we ALL speak the same language. Vocabulary sounds different in my country, it sounds different in yours, here it will have some strange grammar rules, other places it wont, some will have different alphabet or will have some unusual tenses. But in essence each word in a language will have a counter part in meaning in another language. That is because all languages evolved from one, the very fist primordial language. We all understand what âNoâ , âYesâ, âProgressâ, âlakeâ etc, means, regardless of the language it is being said in. If you have proper translation you will understand the meaning. No is the same can be said about an alien species that evolved on a different planet, with perhaps different biological laws and unusual to us physics? They can have words that will have no counterpart in our languages at all. Same goes for us. Chances are, the only way to communicate and understand each other will be through mathematics, not linguistics.
Simple example â Yautja are creatures that natively see in infrared (Yautjaâs prime main star emits mostly infrared light) so from birth till death they see heat signatures with their naked eyes. Can you imagine how meaningless the word âdarknessâ would be to them? Like trying to explain colours to some one who is blind from birth.
I think youâre appealing to realism/real life with regards to biological and linguistical factors when it comes with a fictional alien race that can translate a kidâs home address to (in the context to the universe), practically indecipherable alien dashes. Of course this subject would be 10 times more nuanced and inconceivable within real life but, it isnât.
Also, again, taking a point from extended universe but there are Yautja who stay on Yautja Primeâs âdark sideâ so to speak.
Never happend in canon - only in Shanes Black cocaine inducted visions. Fuck him nad his movie. Moving on -
Yeah⌠you got me there ;-)
True, however - they donât know its dark, quz they donât see light XDDDDD
