I understand the team are currently working on crossplay invites. In the meantime, could codes for private lobbies be generated that allow players from PC and PS4 to enter and join?
Rocket League has a feature like this.
It wouldn’t solve the issue of playing full games with friends if you had less than 5 but it would be a start.
