So did a private match with my friend (1 as predator other FT) just to test a few truths out. Saw a youtube video where some guy claimed this predator was full health (bes btw) and did 2 knife hits to kill him…yeah well that was bs even on the scout predator it took several swings. Someone told me on here that pigs give the predator just a small increment of health, again bs as it heals him completely. Speaking of pigs I found out even if the player kills them predator can still eat them didn’t know that so killing pigs is useless.
Another funny thing was I had my predator friend go attack a camp just to see how much damage adds do to him and with about 15 shooting him he was barely 50%, of course they all stopped shooting him the moment I came into the camp and I didn’t even shoot them. Apparently you as a fire team member are more of a threat than a giant alien.
Private match
Killing pigs give you 25XP i think or 15XP as a Fireteam. I feel this is OK sort of. We as fireteam has shit laying around everywhere.
I do however would like to see snakes available…or more so large ass cobras.
maybe the occasional monkey chimpanzee or a cougar.
Scorpions and other weird insects should inhabit the world too. Lots of birds I see thats pretty neat!
So the guy probably got knifed by multiple people in quick succession. They hurt. You gotta bob and weave.
As for pigs only restoring a little health… the only way I can see people thinking that is if we go by typical game logic. Going by how heals typically work in games, it would seem like pigs would only restore like half health.
As for the npc’s shooting you, think about it. Alien that they just lit up and just laughed it off, or a human that you know will die to bullets. Who would you shoot at?
The predator players will just make excuses after excuses to justify his "balance " it’s sad and amusing at the same time
keep in mind pigs were buffed in how much they heal they used to heal around 50% hp and had rarer spawn rate
as for ai and pred yes that’s true and is normal
and i’m pretty sure knife dmg was nerfed in the current patch so it takes 1 extra knife hit than it used too
us predator mains aren’t a bunch of winers we just have a strong sense of on paper arguements
cause on paper fireteam appears to have no downsides if they are running Meta comps
ok maybe some of us are a bunch of whiners but some of us are reasonable power gamers

I see a huge problem with the whole predator/ft main dynamic also. It’s comparable to say democrats and republicans where it’s now a 2 party ticket and your either team coke or pepsi which shouldn’t be as it’s limited people’s perspectives on what balance is.
i mean yeah it’s a problem but the only way to fix it is to inventice the other role predator has the fantasy and is more fun (imo)
fireteam currently only draw is you “could” earn more veritanium per game imo it’s not more fun the gameplay is generic fps and tends to be easier
The solution to this problem was to do what they did with jason which was 5 q in and 1 random person is selected as predator, why they did it this way is a complete mystery.

when i play fireteam randoms i explicitly run all stealth perks on scout with a silenced smg and grenade launcher i run around the map mudded 100% of the time and pick up all the Veritanium stuff then wait for either my team to win the game or die if they all die off i kill myself via the grenade launcher
if this change happend i’d just be doing this more often ruining more peoples games
sadly the best way to deal with que times is to incentivize the players to play the fireteam more than the pred
the 2 easiest ways to do this 1 is fireteam earns more_____ which atm is just true fireteam usually earns more xp and more veritanium per game
2. fireteam is more fun/powerful to play which sadly is the hard thing to do i’d say they are more powerful than pred together but separate they have to be very good at the game to be better but are they fun for some people they might be but not me.
3.this was a thing someone brought up later adding say daily/weekly missions to make people play both sides or just straight up giving them lootboxes every X number of games

see funny in my 6 hours playing that game i was never jason once so i quit the game
and if you want me to defend my main single team it’s simply this i’m very competitive when it comes to games
your goddamn right i’m out for my own gain cause i don’t want to deal with a situation where i could blame my team instead of me when i lose which would cause me to have a bad view when it comes to getting better at games thinking that i did the right thing it was my teams fault
And how long did you actually play the game? I played it from day 1 for about 3 weeks I eventually got fed up with no host migration
6 hours i decided it wasn’t for me due to the randomness of not wanting to play the game i wanted to play
If you play and test both sidea alot, there is a decent middle ground.
If said it before, with the slight stamina drain, parry is in a decent spot.
Everything needs tweeking and clean up, QOL and debug.
Exception to certain things, the skill is what will carries most match. Most. Again there are exploits that need to be fixed.
Alot of predator players are split between of Ima hunt these people and “Youtube showed an ez win build”.
And top of that, I’ve seen some god awful lag onr some players in the videos and Im like that will work against much of the time.
