Hey y’all. I’m ready to dive back into the jungle on Xbox with friends on that platform.
But there’s a HUGE caveat for me to do so, the ability to transfer my progress and pre-order bonuses.
I have 87 Jungle Hunter, PS & PC Exclusive skins. I’ve purchased all the DLC items too.
Played allot when the game first released—but eventually stopped because my friend group is on Xbox and I only bought a PS4 Pro just for this game.
Any insight on progress transfers?
All that information is meta data per account ID, Illfonic is not even user friendly with crossplay, having transferable meta data in between platforms is a big ask from illfonic even though it should be possible, don’t get your hopes up
RockstarGames was able to do it for GtaOnline, between all platforms—granted Rockstar is a AAA developer. But they did that from PS3, Xbox 360 and PC to PS4 and Xbox One, then again to PS5 and Series X/S generations.
That online experience has substantially more robust data to track from as old as 3 console generations ago, so I hope Illfonic can make it happen.
I’ll gladly pay for a new copy and DLCs on Xbox if I can transfer, if not, it’s a non-starter for me.

Sadly, only way I see this happening is if illfonic implements their own account management like many other games do, where you can link your steam, epic, PSN or Xbox account to theirs.
Is actually good for them, because this would minimize piracy, since you would have to register your purchased product with them. Banning users would be made at this level as well, and players in platforms that are cheating, would not be able to play even if they own the game and are not banned on the platform they purchased it.
This is not rockstar and I am familiar, this is a company that hasn’t fixed a game destroying bug in a year and forgets to have working easy anti cheat in 2024

They don’t have anti cheat on any of their games, and it surely is hurting their products

Not a thing on this game, you should be able to play with people from xbox and add them on your ps account
