100% with you on that. we could simply have the first predator hunting on earth this the end of the antiquity. or just the very first predator coming to north america. or the first predatot to die in hundreds of years. i wait to see to be honnest

the guy literally killed alien 5 for make a statement that he was Alien father…when there is more than 4 people behind alien original scripts and idea.

it really wasn’t. They can’t even decide if preds actually care about their tech or not. This game makes them look like they’re just donating pred bodies to arnie so we can reverse engineer their guns and kill them with it. concrete jungle was an abomination of a story. Isabelle brought a whole spaceship to earth, nbd.
And lol pred 2018.
Why is self destruct even a manual function if the pred dies how incompetent can you get?

hell the novels couldn’t even remain consistent with the movies they went from the clan ship just leaving the tunnel to blowing up a chunk of LA. predators switching sexes like jurassic park raptors, rage genes, a scratch from a pred turning people into xmen that can see through cloak. And say what you will about generic japanese stereotype machiko but her superhuman antics straight up 1v1ing preds and alien queens was some bs, sequels brought her into mary sue territory very fast

the same as your word, it’s not worth a fucking shit

Also i will post this as my own statement when it come to the woman protagonist of Predator skulls: Kee

the woman is not a problem. all of us here enjoyed Isabelle, Machiko and Alexa as female Lead in predators comics and movies. the issue with skull marketing is to advertice the age of the lead role (being between 17/19 its seem they are not sure anymore) and that is important as say by themself that the commenchee tribes society was based on the guys do the hunting and fighting stuff when the woman do all the shores back at home. and this is important for the heroine background. wish mean even tho she is a tomboy she have NO figthing experience whatsoever compared to previous protagonist (dutch, harrigan, roy and isabelle) and this can tranished her credibility to face off against a predator. And no the excuse of being a legolas because you started learning how to shot with a bow since 6 years old against non moving target don’t work since you never experienced a moving target. and with the backstory of the Comanchee (depeding if the realisator actually do some research on their culture and dont pulll out a hollywood) she wouldn’t have been able to hunt anything bigger than a bird when the guys are away from the tribes.

Again this is just on papper. so far we have no trailer, nothing to confirmed or ease our fear so yes we will have to see and i will gladly eat my shoes if i am wrong. i just hope that Kee wont ended up becoming a badass woman out of nowhere like the scientist girl in the predator. or just running from the predator for the enteriety of the movie without pulling out a fight. and finally killing him by one lucky shot like Lindsey in cloverfield lane with the monster/ship (and since its the same realisator i am a bit afraid for that. but we will have good dialogue atleast) .This could simply hurt the predator credibility and make my final point:

The predator is a C.H.A.R.A.C.T.E.R. not a simple monster. and he need to be threated as such, this was a defining trait of both predators in Pred 1 and pred 2 due to their fantastic gimmick ( thank you and rest in peace Kevin Peter Hall) wish remained a key point in nearly all the Predator movie. (a bit less for Predators, and non existant for The predator) he is a no rampaging dumb monster. he is supposed to be smart and trained for the hunt since atleast a 100 years. but once again we will have to wait and see. i only hope the best for that movie.

I’ve read an article last year where he said basically that “robots” are the future and that Alien is already seen, not scary and the thing of the past.

Im glad I wasnt the only one that hated that damn movie.
director has the worst payoff ever for tolerating an hour and a half of a woman running around looking scared while nothing happens

more than the creator of alien? I think not, what you say has no value, no transcendence

i dont hate it. i enjoyed it for is dialogue and the entire uneasy part with Howard however i will say it Michelle was fucking LUCKY to survive all of this. i just hope that parts of the movie wont be reashed again in skull with kee.

wish ones? XDDD

I understand the gripes about ridley scott but yeah people should come to terms with the fact hes back on the creative process of the IP he owns and has tv shows/movies lined up so it is what it is.
didnt sell out like george lucas. He owns it.

you dont get to tell a songwriter what their song is about you know?

As of AVP and Predators all consistency is lost

I think we can all agree on that :p

The franchise was always inconsistent since according to Alec Gilles nobody was actually in charge of any overarching continuity between the films. Nobody was in charge of keeping the story straight and as far as Predator was concerned at least up until 2018, the guy who wrote the Predator bible basically had to get the story straight after the fact at least when it came to films. That’s why Predator continuity is weirdly mangled and had odd moments like the time Predator fought Batman.

The franchises as it turns out though is seperated in three ways;

  1. Predator encompasses all solo material and crossover films
  2. Alien material encompasses all Alien material including prequels
  3. AVP is all AVP material and films as well as material that has either creature present in solo material.

And if Predator sounds confusing, that’s because it is. Because AVP was included on the then timeline when creating The Predator it’d snuck its way in but that doesn’t mean they can do anything with it because it’s a separate license and are legally unable to address it or include it on official timelines and such. You’d have thought somebody would’ve told the writing teams but nobody at Fox did. Nobody actually knew how to build a timeline for these things and nobody was in charge of continuity in the first place.

And even the production of Predator 5 was a secret to those who’d even been working on Predator 4. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if that was another reason 4 turned out the way it did because the executives had been in pre-production on 5 and just didn’t care about what was going on with 4.

Supremely Based Take. Also we always hear about this supposed Predator Bible but we never see it. I don’t think it even exists, just like how a Alien Bible exists but it’s inconsistent.

No one seems to accept the idea that Predator = AvP in the sense that they share the same events and material. Just take a good ol look at NECA.

In fact, I have a whole Google Doc about this:

(Was made for a different audience and has one crackpot theory, but hey, I have 97 pages backing me up.)
