Auto-aim??? really

Here is a trick, shoot plasma directly next to barrels/gasoline and gas tanks as it will take two quick hits of splash damage to explode it. It is faster than two direct hits thats for sure as direct hits only trigger it to ignite, indirect hits will cause it to blow.

Here is a tip: Never headshot a gaurd with a mask (and short sleave shirt) this will take 4 shots , take them out at the chest (2shots).

How did you determine this?

Umm… has anybody else noticed this “auto aim?” I haven’t.

Agreed. FT mains are quite spoiled by hitscan weapons. Myself included. This weapon does kinda even the playing field. And even if it ain’t the BEST gun, its still pretty fun.

Sometimes when I aim above an AI’s head I still get a headshot, and this is when aimming down site. Could be the hitbox of the projectile is slightly bigger then the actual shot

I think the projectile actually drops as it travels. Put on a scope and aim at a spot far across the map.

Regardless, I’m not sure what that has to do with what I asked @Vargaresa.

But is it just or doesn’t just feel so smooth to fire compared to the other guns?
Like idk what it is but the other guns feel a tiny bit janky, and I swear it’s the hit scan.

Idk I love it.
I love how it murders a.i. and objectives, and feels balanced vs pred.

I love it lol.

As far as that auto aim maybe it’s the very tiny ps4 aim assist?

It’s super heavy on pigs, I’m sure you’ve seen that.
But idk bout a.i.

I think it’s decent as is

Rotation assist while moving does not equal aim assist.

But yes. Maybe that’s what he thought was the “auto aim.”

I guess so, all I know me personally I hate any assist with aiming.

What games to you play that you turn off aim assist?

I personally never cared for aim assist. It has messed up more of my shots than it has helped honestly. But, the rifle is in a decent place. It’s not over powered, versatile, has a lot it can do in the way of missions, A.I., and decent damage on a predator. Just requires little more thinking when using compared to pointing and shooting sniping a pred across the map with an assault rifle

Every game that allows me to do so. I dont keep track of it, but no joke, it’s one of the first things I look to change when I start a new game.

I make sure I can turn it off.
Because I’m haunted by how many times it fucked me over in MW3.

I Know. The amount of times I could of at least traded in destiny if aim assist didn’t exist.

Hold up cause I’m pretty sure you hate assist like I do, but the way you said that you lost me.

What you mean traded in?

I find it hard to believe that in games like Battlefield, call of duty, or fortnite, etc., that you, or anybody, is going to be as competitive as others using aim assist. Sure. Occasionally, aim assist might pull you off target, but most of the time, aim assist will help you acquire targets faster and stay on target longer. This is something that is quite easy to do with a mouse, with enough practice. In a game with crossplay, its actually quite a disservice to console players that aim friction, or stickiness to target, is not available.

If it was a choice, I guarantee you’d turn it on eventually, because your teammates would wonder why you couldn’t keep up with the damage, or missed a lot of shots in a clutch situations.

Yet typically I’m out shooting people and popping them first.

My aim is not what it used to be sadly,
However, if I play as much as I used to play mw3, il get it back.

Aim assist will not help me.
I dont like it, I hate it.

My problem is it typically takes too long to kill ppl. That’s why i only like playing hardcore modes.
Regular humans should die in no more than 3.

Traded a kill.

I was in a one V one, was winning, someone else ran in front of them, threw my aim off, instead of getting the kill and then dying to the second guy (trading) I got nothimg and died.

I felt that on a personal level.
