Never have to move your finger to hit heat ever again!
Also I find it provides for seamless use for heat vision and one less place for your finger to travel.
Feels very natural imo :)

I like this option, but my current R3 is tied to branch switch/leap and jump/branch switch is unbound. Makes it so that when I’m doing melee combat and jumping around I don’t leap into a tree, have to leap out, and re-switch to my melee weapon.
Much more seamless combat experience IMO.

The best button advice is to bind your weapons to buttons so you can avoid messing about with the weapon wheel in the middle of a fight.

That’s pretty much what I did, R3 for first weapon, left D-pad for second weapon.

I got my 2 pred weapons on left and right d pad with target iso on down.
Can switch between em quick!
Glad you found that. I’ve had vision mode tied to R3 since about the second month of the game.
I also have cross (X) tied to jump only and “up” on the directional pad tied to jump/branch switch, so I don’t have to worry about accidentally mounting a tree while executing normal jumps.

Honestly tho, it kinda helps randomly jumping upwards unto a tree, bamboozling the hell out of FT and boom, Plasma to the face.
But yea I should switch my controls, been playing with Default scheme.

Thanks for suggesting this, trying it out with a Custom Control scheme and it feels great. Been playing with Default since Launch but this is way better. Sadly i can’t use Mimicry anymore but… might be able to put it on Pause since I never use Pause in matches anyways like… I never quit so no need for it.

Was testing this out. On the Yautja Bow, if you press Sqaure without aiming, it is supposed to take you out of Bow and into Only Wristblades?
On Ranged Weapons Square takes you to Wristblades. But for Melee Weapons it does their normal string. So when using Ranged weapon and needing to quick hit just use the Quick Melee of R2.
Actually never mind, don’t use this. Claim and Pigs don’t work LMAO
