[PS4] Combistick Resets All Weapons & Gear

As the title suggests… The Combistick will reset any and all weapons and gear once you equip it, then close the application on PS4. Once you start the game up again, the Elder Sword is equipped by default. However, when your at the Predator / Fireteam Customization Screen, you can see whatever weapons you had equipped before (for example, Netgun primary, Combistick secondary). Illfonic employees (particularly their Community Manager) have suggested this is an account / console based issue and not on their end. However after talking to a few people on reddit and Twitter, I have found that everyone who has had an issue with anything resetting they all have had the Combistick equipped in every instance. Yet when brought to attention, it’s either ignored or a generic response will be: “we’ll pass it on to our (devs) or (Q&A team)”. Yes, there are plenty of other weapons. But the Combistick is very iconic, and also…well… We paid for a game. Also, every since the Hotfix & Update sometimes it’ll bug out and Armor, Skin, and Warpaint will not change color. This also happens with Fireteam accessories (helmets and facewear).

My hope is, this gains the attention of Illfonic to get this actually fixed.

Not everyone has this issue. I have the combistick on multiple classes, and I have never had this happen.

Console or PC? Since everyone affected was a PS4 Pro user. I haven’t tested this theory out, as I’m really sick of Q&A ing…but I think it’s only happening with DLC Classes. '87 Predator, City Hunter, Viking…

Maybe it has to do with Pro models. Since those affected were Pro Models. IDK, I’m no programmer. I hate that stuff lol. But I, and others have done literally everything with the system to resolve this, under the instruction of the Community Manager Charles Bathel. Restore Licenses, Deleting Game and Re-downloading it, Deleting All Saved Data local and PSN / PS Plus Cloud Storage, Switching Install Location, and also even going as far as Initialize The PS4. However, something to also note: The PS4 doesn’t have System Exclusive Data for this game.

Again, I’m not a programmer (I’m more along the lines of tearing stuff apart and putting back together), nor game dev, but if all other games have System Exclusive Data, but this doesn’t, I think that could be it.

I tried equipping the Combistick to every single Class. None worked. I also equipped the City Hunter Combistick and instead of erasing everything and defaulting to the Elder Sword, it Defaulted to the Net Gun.

This is happening to me on Steam too. I’m so early in the game that I don’t have alternatives for predator weapons either.

Your only hope is to reset your saved data because i have not experienced this

Exactly. That’s my point to the Devs. some ppl call it complaining and that it’s supposed to do thay, but how come it doesn’t do that with… Literally any other weapon? What’s the point of a Custom Loadout if it resets 2/3 of what you’ll be saving? This is the first time I’ve heard it happening on PC. So far it was just PS4 Pro System users.

I’ve done literally everything. That was the first thing their Community Manager told me to do. I deleted saved data on system and Cloud. All it did was reset user settings. So far this has happened to a few Pro System users, all resets weapons and gear after closing the game. All default to the Elder Sword. However, today it reset to the Weapons and Gear I had in the 2nd Loadout (tried Equipping Combistick on Loadout 5, it copied Loadout 2 minis class). I’ve even deleted the game and re-download it. I restored Licenses, Initialize PS4. I have also noticed that this is the only game, out of 200+ I own that has no “System Exclusive Data”.
