PS4 controllers and stick drift

Why are ps4 dualshocks such dust magnets? Never had issues with ps3 controllers and used the same one for like 5 years.

This is remedied by using compressed air or your breath and a straw

Just blow into area around the sticks

Then why do different games behave normally with no stick drift? Cyberpunk 2077 on my ps4 pro is going haywire with stick drift but Assassins Creed Valhalla which just came out as well is perfect.
I get this feeling that CDPR didnt impliment some kind of stick refinement algorithm as the slightest touch makes it move, where as ubisoft’s game feels much more …encompassed as if its only using certain values of the stick movement past a certain point so that slight touches don’t affect the sensor.

Go into options, there’s one that covers at rest or being in neutral, don’t remember off the top of my head. There’s also a snap back to centre, speed setting I think.
