PS4 Crossplay off. And itās cunts like OP that make me glad. Your playerbase is a cesspit, well whatās left of it. We will still be playing on PS4 long after it dies on PC, thereās been many threads from salty PC players saying we should activate crossplay to help reduce your waiting times š¤£ Oh, and hereās another reason why you guys suck;

Crossplay was a mistake for shooters because of the way client hit detection works, there will always be people aimbotting if devs want smooth multiplayer gameplay. Currently they have to decide which they would prefer, the game being unplayable when lagging or individually banning 3rd party programs as they come. Dealing with cheaters is a smaller scale problem than trying to find a cure for lag.
Alternatively 20 years in the future everyone is playing with a 1ms ping on cloud gaming servers in a perfect world but I doubt it. Its easier to cure cheating by removing workarounds compared to trying to cure lag & lag compensation.
My motto is PC games for mods, RTSās & shooters. Console for an even playing field.

By the way, the PC vs PS4 discussion seems to start everywhere in this forum at the moment - but, if you ask me, it is a little bit senseless (whereas the discussion about crossplay is senseful from my POV).
If you have a PC, play with a PC. If you have a console play with a console. Both is fine. Both has advantages (PS4 - e.g. less cheating, PC - e.g. better human machine interface).
But, when talking about PC-PS4-crossplay, we have to address the differences - else it happens, what for PHG seems to already had happened: crossplay will be off most of the time. And, dear PC players, that is not a problem for the PS4-player base, I thinkā¦
Have a look into the world of classical sports. There is e.g. boxing and there is e.g. fencing. Both traditional olympic sports.
Neither is better. They are just different kinds of enjoyments.
Now, nobody would take into account to invent a āboxing - fencing - crossplayā - the outcome is very clear, I thinkā¦
But this is somehow the situation with PC-PS4-crossplay. The PC players are just not willing to refrain from using their swordā¦
They have my empathy - I do understand quite well, that if you are used to the speed and precision of a keyboard & mouse combination, you would not want to switch to something which is slower and more imprecise.
Question: what do you think, is it possible to move a sniper rifle with some 10kg weight this fast and precise in reality? I think, in this aspect the slow and imprecise motion of a PS4 controller might even be more realistic (at least for soldier which are not some gene updated super soldiers) than the PC control.
And beneath that: if everybody would just use boxing gloves, they would not be deemed to be a handicap.
So the main question is: are you all willing to stick to the same conditions or are you not willing to loose your advantages - when talking about PC-PS4-crossplayā¦ Right?
It was told to me that PHG is playable with controller on PC already - try that out while playing with/against PS4 players. You might even find out then, that you then are just middle-rated players tooā¦ Which should be fine:)

The real discussion shouldnāt be PC vs console. That is an argument for sad people and virgins.

As a true gamer, you have both of them!
And there are games available at PC, called simulators, typical āgamersā (no matter if PC or PS4) would not be able to comprehend at all - not because they are bad at games but because they could not understand in real life, too.
And by the way, at PC, there are lots of hardcore platformers, hardcore puzzle games as well as hardcore games. The last genre is unavailable at consoles since it is considered adults only in many countries.
Games are definitely not made for children. I donāt know why many people associate games with children. Feels strange for me.
PC gamers? Donāt distinguish between PC and PS4 gamers. You can use both systems.

The sole reason playing multiplayer games at a closed platform like PS4 is cheating!
But: Change your mind: There are no PC or PS4 gamers. You can play on many systems. For instance, I played Predator at PC and PS4. And in case of Predator, the PS4 version is inferior.
