Ps5 upgrade?

Not sure if this has been asked but are we going to get a PS5 upgrade?

Maybe, I have not seen anything or heard anything yet. But fingers crossed Sony recently put a list out there for all the ps4 games not going to be playable and PHG was not on said list

I just hope it has a nice full make over lol. Make the predator 60fps and 4k would be amazing.

I viewed a list of the games that will be a free upgrade to ps5 , hunting grounds wasn’t on the list, that doesn’t mean it won’t be but it seems you might have to pay to upgrade certain titles

It’s in a weird spot, they haven’t said it won’t be, nor have they said it will be.

It sucks not knowing and at least in my case, it means not buying a PS5 till later. I’ll just wait for second gen., no rush if the game I spend the most time in isn’t on there.

OKH, not to be pushy but we need more announcements. Not knowing the answers to simple questions is frustrating.

I heard that it was 99% of ps4 games…can’t doubt that that list is probabaly outdated. I’m also not surprised. The hardware is really the big difference and software/fireware won’t be anything a dev can’t handle considering it’s not really them but its Unreal Dev tools.

Only 10 PS4 games won’t be backwards compatible

So i just googled :
99% PS4 games compatiable PS5
And about a dozen articles showed up. It was some official statement from the CEO of sony playstation.
So you won’t have trouble finding it.
The technical is that 99% can be compatible. Its whether or not a dev says specifically that they will or they wont release some patch. But I think right out of the box, the software of ps4 games will not have an issue running on the ps5 say unless they were developed for 3D goggles or something.

I wont doubt the moment PS5 is released, there will be video people comparing the two versions with every popular game available on an 8K TV . But you’ll be damned if you’ll be able to play an 8K youtube video by December with a desktop PC. just sayin.

sony has confirmed that all ps4 games will be compatible with the exception of 10 games, some companies like suckerpunch or santa monica studios have confirmed that their games will be even improved in fps performance and loading times, ps5 will have more than 4000 titles in launch (retrocompatible)

TBH I have a theory (no actaul evidence, so i didn’t bother sharing it) that PHG is optimized for PS5, and thats why they were fine with day one PHG being so unoptimized and even current day clash mode.
